Hey everyone i was reading around a bit i have no intentions to offend anyone by saying this bit everyone is saying they quit. In my opinion vaping is an amazing alternative For smoking but or replaces sigarettes

This is up for debate, even among vapers. We quit cigarettes and took up vaping instead. It's definitely harm reduction. Then there are people who vape 0 mg, so they quit nicotine.

The problem comes from the ANTZ who believe that vaping is just switching one addiction for another, and don't recognize or acknowledge the differences between the two. Rather than inhaling combusted material with hundreds of additives and thousands of molecular compounds, we are boiling liquid that has been proven safe for inhalation, and apart from a few people who are sensitive to certain ingredients (PG, VG, flavor), there is little risk to our health, especially when compared to smoking. The other part of the equation is nicotine, which has already been proven to actually have some health benefits, including increased brain function and improved blood flow.

I think vaping offers a much safer alternative to smoking. Personally I intend to eventually wean myself off of nicotine. Right now I alternate between 18 and 12mg, and will gradually reduce that to 0mg. I am undecided as to wether or not I will quit vaping entirely - even if I do, I intend to keep a setup around - I would much rather relapse into vaping than smoking.

im just trying to say that if you keep vaping and using nicotine you are not quitting the habbit thats al im trying to say

I like to think of it as getting shot by a .22 vs a .50. You pick your preference.

if it shoots through your skull it does not matter

I suspect there's something else at play here because to us you're stating the obvious. :)

When I say I quit "smoking", I did indeed stop using the combustable carcinogens contained in tobacco - but not the nicotine. You have somehow (perhaps subconsciously), allowed the rabid "culture" of anti-smoking fanatics to convince you that "nicotine=tobacco." It's not of course. No more than rubbing alcohol=vodka.

Nicotine is the new flag used by the anti-smoking society. Ask any 10 people to list what they think is one dangerous ingredient of cigarettes and all 10 will say "nicotine" (while holding their noses). If the lemmings are too stupid to know the difference well... well, screw 'em. :D

But which term do you think will always be associated with cigarettes first? Remember... cigarettes=bad and cigarettes contain nicotine ergo nicotine is bad. (Regardless of where else it's commonly found like your salad :)).

And nobody's defending chemical dependancy nor advocating it. Your comment reminds me of the time when the town drunk currently on his 12th beer lectured me on *my* addiction. :D

Logically speaking, vaping is much better for your physical health. Anyone working on bettering their overall health would most likely greatly benefit from making the switch. In my experience, it is mostly smokers and tobacco companies who have differing opinions. And some uneducated unaccepting ignorant people. (no offense)

The fact that people make the connection nicotine = unhealthy
Has nothing to do with my opinion about people calling it quitting just trying to Give my opinion im very sorry that offended you this was not my intention
I do Think its kinda weak that just because you dont agree with me nou start. Comparing me with some alcoholic you once met im addicted to nicotine aswell not trying to judge you or anything

Did I smoke? Yes.
Do I smoke? No.
Therefore I quit smoking.

When I switched to pipe smoking I quit cigarettes.
When I switched to candy I quit smoking.
When I switched to an unmentionable I quit cigarettes.

If I switched to a patch it would be quitting.

Why should vaping be treated differently?

Fine you quit smoking cigs
All im trying to say is that in my opinion you didnt got rid of the addiction if your still getting your nicotine fix
getting the feeling some people take this very personal
