A value judgment is implied in the OP it seems. Is someone being sort of disingenuous when they say "I quit" but they still like/use/rely on nicotine (thus continue vaping)?
My thought on that is just considering the harm caused by nicotine alone compared to the harm of cigarettes (it's quite clear as to what is harmful within), I chose to "quit" cigarettes and "not quit" vaping - and I don't go out of my way to be too proud about quitting cigarettes. No need to gloat.
