What a week! I lost four of my dear friends in 3 days.
I used my 1st IO6 almost exclusively for 14-16 hrs a day for over a month. It was love at first vape.
Carto's, tanks and 510 atty's just started collecting dust when the IO6 entered my life.
It was still working quite well after 4-5 wks of use but I was curious how it compared to a new one. So, I broke out #2 to compare a new one to a used one. I couldn't hardly tell the difference. But I gave #1 a rest and use #2 for the next 4 to 5 weeks. Both of these were 2.5 ohm attys. Over the two+ months of using them I occasionally used a 3.5 ohm IO6 just to change things up.
So after a couple month's of continuous use I thought I'd try a vodka bath to clean them out. I vape, maybe 1/2 doz different flavors and would just blow out the atty between flavors. I soaked them over night, then rinsed them with fresh vodka and blew them out real good. Then primed them and started using them again.
The next day one of them just stopped working. No pops, crackles - just stopped working. Ok - it was over 2 months old, atty's do give up. Two days later, another one stops working. Same thing - no pop, no crackles - just stops working. hmmm! Coincidence with respect to the vodka soak, me thinks, or not. Then the same day, the 3rd atty gives it up too.
Now, I'm definitely thinking - no more vodka baths for my attys.
I still can't complain - I got a lot of good vaping from them. Break out a brand new 3.5 ohm IO6 (thank goodness for personal inventory) and I'm back to vaping. Within the hour - yep you guessed it - it gave up the ghost. Oh my, oh my, 4 atty in 3 days. What heavenly alignment of spheres could have caused this?
Quick, check personal inventory, yikes getting low. Click onto IKenVape, sheww! They're in stock, quick order a bunch more. I'm only a 1/2hr drive from IkenVape.
Additional IO6s arrive 2 days later. Happy me again.
