I haven't tried them personally, but I think many people feel that cartridges are outdated

I am not understanding this. Cartridges/Atomizers are essential (basically required) to use for e-cigz and vaping. They contain the liquid nicotine. How can they be outdated?

These days it seems most folks prefer cartomizers, in which the cartridges & atomizers are combined into one unit. :vapor:

No worries, just the 510 battery had trouble with LR cartos -- an Ego can power 'em fine. But it's just something to look forward to after you get situated!

You should also order an atomizer (they're pretty cheap) that you can use your drip tip on to test flavors, rather than having to fill up a carto. Oh, and I'd recommend you pick up a sampler pack from pinkspotvapors.com -- my wife and I have had really good luck with them.

Just a thought, my experience with dripping is that I don't get the same flavor as I will with other methods. For example: dripping Ms T's SnickerDoodle 18mg onto a Cisco spec 306 doesn't let the same undertones come out compared to a Boge carto (running both at the same amperage). Dripping onto atomizers seems to favor throat hit and vapor production over flavor.

YMMV :)

Still don't make sense. Clean Cigs name theirs Atomizer and Blu Cigs name theirs Cartomizer, but both looks exactly the same, so I call them all Atomizer since its the first word that I learned for those refill packs.

Looking them up quickly Clean Cig atomizers don't look exactly the same Blu cartomizers because they are not. Cartomizers are 1 piece atomizers are 2 pieces. A cartomizer is the storage tank with the coil built into it an atomizer is the coil in one piece and a storage tank another piece.

Are you talking about the inside or outside? Clean Cig has two piece, the battery and refill. Blu Cig has two piece, the battery and refill. They both look the same to me. Same size. I'm holding them together one by one. Maybe you are talking about the inside of them?

The Clean Cig I looked up is a cartridge, atomizer and battery..the Blu I looked up is a cartomizer and battery. A cartomizer is a cartridge and atomizer built into 1 piece.

Edit: After looking at your other posts I see the Clean Cig you're posting about uses a cartomizer but they call it a atomizer.

Definitely more juice! If I had a 5 ml of one flavor and 5 ml of another it would last me until Monday, then I would be out!

I buy in 120 ml size!

took some experimenting to find the right flavor, but once I did, I order in big bottles

Thunder, the terminology is key. You don't want to mention atomizer when you really mean cartomizer

this is a 3 piece design. battery, atty, cart

this is a 2 piece, batt with carto (atomizer and cartridge as one piece)

That's why it's so confusing to people. Suppliers call them the wrong name.

Every pv needs the same things- a battery, something to hold juice and something that will enable the battery to heat the juice, the atomizer.

If your pv is two piece when you get it (all KR808's are) it's a battery and cartomizer (cartridge & atomizer in one)
If your pv is three piece (ego's, 510's) it's a battery, an atomizer and a cartridge that you fill with juice that attaches to the atomizer.

If you get the three piece pv, throw the atomizer and cartridges in a box and buy cartomizers.

I can't help you on that one, I have only used an atty for dripping and then switched to a carto.

I dont have messy refills on the carto now that I have learned what I am doing.
The TH and vapor I get from a carto is exactly what I needed to stay quit from cigs.

If your tank works, great! that's all that matters!
With that said, if you have an opportunity to try a carto, do it so you can compare.

Wow look at all theses posts! Thanks everyone for their input! I'll definitely be ordering more goodies as soon as I get the chance. I'm looking forward to comparing the lr boges to the originals.

What's everyone's favorite flavor that I can buy in a big quantity cheaply?

Haven't smoked for two days and I feel like I'm going crazy.

Edit:forgot to mention my order has already been shipped. It's in the process now!

I totally agree, but if someone feels that they really want to try that option, I have many empty, unused, laying in a box, so PM me and I could send you some to try..... no need to buy them at this point. Regular mail is so cheap and I will never use them.

I personally prefer atomizers with a drip tip, dripping directly on the atomizer, but many prefer cartomizers or tank systems. It's all of matter of personal vaping style. I am predominately at my home work desk most of the day, and the dripping gives me a purer flavor. When I am going to be out on errands all day, a cartomizer is more convenient.

Do not worry, you will find your niche, do not pressure yourself, and you have made far wiser "first" choices than many of us made, so cudos to you for doing your homework.

Back in the "old days", when I started vaping, the choices available where not as varied. The technology is progressing every day, so we are in for many and varied improvement in the future.

You should be able to PM if needed, once you have I think 5 post in new users forum.

Happy Vaping and good choice IMHO.

I see a lot of people on here love cartomizer's. I'm using a tank + atty combo on my 510. What is the benefit of using of a cartomizer over a tank? I find the tank is extremely easy to fill and I like not worrying about any poly fill material or messy refills. What am I missing?

I don't worry about poly fill material. What's to worry about? I don't find putting some drops of juice into a carto particularly messy.

If your happy with your set-up and it works for you, that's all that counts. I don't care for tanks. To me they mute flavor. I happen to think I get a better vape with cartos and they're easy. Try it sometime, see which you prefer.
