If you see Wongster, let him know about this thread. I've seen some of his vid's, he's welcome to put his name in:)

Thanks David!

I'm mainly a dripper kind if guy but my fav
RBA ATM is the spheroid.

My box currently contains-
-Kayfuns
-ERA's
-Immortalizers
-Divers
Etc, etc

I switch back and forth between 28-32AWG kanthal and either ekowool or silica wick, whatever suits my fancy

I have organic cotton but have never used it. It reminds me of vaping a slug when full of juice.

I'd welcome the opportunity to put your RBA through its paces! :)

I'm late too. I build my rba .3 ohms for dual coil and .6 ohm for single. I do rotate between my kayfun igo-l igo-w and omega for my simplicity 186500. I also use my kayfun mini and igo-s for my simplicity 14500 outside of my house. I would love to help in anyway

oh on my kayfun it's at .65ohm and kayfun mini at .7

I'm new...but not to electronics..I currently am using a p+ 16...But I have been looking for an excuse to purchase a simplicity 18650 ;) Ive been building coils non stop, using 28 and 32 kanthal, silica, and cotton (which I've come to prefer) I have a bunch of true RMS test equipment (for work) that I've been using to test resistance, and current draw.

My last couple setups:

And I've a decent assortment of liquids to sample:

I would love to be able to give my input. I have been looking for an excuse to purchase a Simplicity 18350. I have been using rebuildable atomizers since before they were known in the US. My first was the Bulli A2 Classic, Bulli A2-T, A7 mini, AGA-s mini, Killer 705. Currently using BudzWorx Hornet. And have built multiple genesis type atomizers, from scratch. I prefer ekowool or silica. 30, 32, 34 gauge nichrome.

It would be an honor to be considered, but unfortunately I don't own a Simplicity 18000 series.

I would absolutely purchase a Simplicity 650 if that works. Too bad the ELA is not included in the test group.

Paired down my atty collection over the last month, but currently holding:

-Mini B
-Bliss v3
-DID(s)
-Nimbus
-Patriot
-Storm Rider 2.1

Wicking materials inducing: SS Mesh, Silica, Ekowool, FC2000 Ceramic, Cotton, SS Cable & home spun Kanthal Cable.

Typically use 28GA Kanthal but also, twisted 28GA, 26GA, 30GA, 32GA and Ribbon.

Currently a senior Mechanical Engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona.

Recent build on the Mini B with coils concentrated over the four air holes: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m211/pirateale/20130901_221418.jpg

A friend of mine has everything; everything...! And by everything I do mean every single atty and mod out there. E VRY THAAAN'! Swear...! He's been into RBAs since the very beginning! He's constantly buying every last item out there; from expensive and mainstream products to very "underground" hybrids, you name it...! He's a coil-making Grand Master! He's likely the most experienced veteran out there...

Guys such as Scott B; Bishopheals or any other "guru"... He eats 'em for breakfast... That's for sure...

Just saying!

Swear!

And he'd be thrilled to try SuperT's RBA...!

He is one of your guys, Dave... Trust me!!!

PD: His Simplicity 18650 is at the local post office -together with mine- as we speak; just minutes away from him, also!

What are those neat, tidy tightly wound coils I see?

Micro coils..

do they come premade or are they winding themselves and if so what gauge and material? Have to try some in the super T rba...all I have here currently is some Kanthal and some Kanthal ribbon wire...

Those coils look like ribbon wire to me. Micro coils are just like other coils, they are just wrapped on a really small instrument, like a tiny screw driver, with the coils very close together. Some say they give better heat retention, flavor, etc. To me they seem to work very similar to regular coils, i.e., I can't tell much difference myself.

Microcoiling is a process of uniformly wrapping them around a screwdriver, heat treating them, and cramming wick through the coil (as opposed to wrapping coil directly around wick). It defies expectations, heating up in the middle without hotspots on the legs. People with the patience to make them claim that the coil is a little sluggish to heat up, but the flavor and throat hit is rich and satisfying. I'm sure there's a tutorial or two on youtube.

I personally prefer more traditional coils. As I mentioned earlier, they're sluggish to heat up. They're also sluggish to cool down, which is not good if you're not fond of your juice darkening.
