Ok I am not a complete noob when it comes to rebuildables but as of now, I am only familiar with rda's and I own an IGO-W dual coil built by myself (though I might change to a patriot). I want something that I can use when on the go like when I am driving and not need to constantly drip juice on the wick. I still want a rebuildable though, once I've gone sub ohm vaping I won't go back lol. I came across a genesis style atomizer that seems to meet these standards but I hear they leak a lot. This is a big let down because I don't exactly want something prone to leakage. Then I came across an RBA but it seems like it's the same as a genesis.

If anyone can just clear this up for me and let me know which one is better for my needs, that would be great. The main points I need are:
  • Not prone to leakage
  • Has a tank to hold a decent amount of eliquid
  • Is a rebuildable and can handle a dual coil.

I have SS Rope and ekowool on hand ready to build it I just need a proper atomizer that meets my needs. Thanks for the help!

You should take a look at the aqua if you like Dual coils. Hits hard and doesn't leak.
I like mine but prefer the flavor single coils provide on my kayfun, taifun and expromizer.

The aqua holds a mil or two less than the RTAs mentioned above but still can hold out most of the day.
How's the vape production on it? I like big, thick clouds when I vape, good for doing tricks. I would be running a dual coil 2mm SS rope with ekowool and 26 gauge kanthal. I would think that'll give me around .3-.5 ohms depending on the wraps.

EDIT: Actually, could I use SS rope with it at all? I got the rope thinking I would use it on a genesis I was planning on getting but I just now realized that it might only work in genesis atomizers.

I have heard people describe the aqua as the closest thing to dripping in a tank. I love mine. Setting up dual coils on to posts with the little thumbscrews isn't the easiest but once you got it you are good. I find it easy to fill (bottom) and wicks great! I l

Another benefit is the clones are good unlike some kayfuns or Russians. Check out the aqua clone thread for lots of great info.

+1 for the Aqua. You can get 3ml in it if you fill it upside down from the bottom (you can find a tutorial on youtube, "proper way to fill Aqua" or something like that). I haven't gone lower than 0.9 ohms so I can really say how it performs at 0.3-0.6. I've never used wire rope so I can't say if it'll work either. I love my Kayfun and Russian as well, but prefer the Aqua.

I'll tell ya, up till now I have been using my RDA's for running sub-ohm builds on, but I currently have a Steam Turbine (Genesis-style RBA) that's running a 0.6 Ohm Dual coil in it and the thing is hitting like a champ!! It took me some fiddling around to get the right setup, but man is this thing awesome.....The stock air holes are a bit small so it's not the greatest for blowing clouds, so it might not be the best choice for what you're looking for.....but I am now a firm believer that Genny-style atty's can run sub-ohm builds and hit great!

I have no idea where you heard that gennies leak a lot, I've never yet had that problem with my gennies. Sounds like maybe someone took theirs apart and didn't put it back together right. I settled into an RSST months ago and still love it. I did the whole dripper thing, IGO-W dual microcoils, cotton, and it just didn't work for me. It works for some, and there are those who would never use anything else, different strokes fer different folks ya know. You just have to find what works best for you.

As for your specs, the RSST I've been using never once leaked on me, has a tank that holds 3 ml which is plenty, and as for dual coils I can't see the need. I tried that on my AGA-T2, and could not see any return on the investment at all. Currently I use a 400 SS mesh wick rolled tight, 26 kanthal in a 4/5 wrap at .7 ohm, and it's working fabulous for me. I vape for hours on that before I have to put more juice in the tank, and I get great vapor and flavor.

I have an aqua (clone)

Kayfun 3.1 (clone)

And an AGA-T3

Aqua - by far best flavor - ever. Right in line with a blazing IGO-L stuffed full of cotton and a tiny hole. Wide open the aqua's airflow isn't probably as good as a hogged out IGO. But for mouth to lung it will give you good hits. Problem is, it's all metal. It's metal, on metal, on metal. And the clones have a weird drip tip slot all my others don't work. And it gets HOT. I run .8 ohm dual on it with cotton and it's rock solid reliable, doesn't leak, and again, flavor is great. (Mouth to lung) But if you think you are going to shove .4 ohm duals in there and fire away - OK. Have at it. It will be smoldering hot by the third drag. Atty's with a chimney concentrate the heat as well as the vapor. FYI.

Filling it is annoying. Unless there is a magical unicorn method - my clone doesn't bottom fill. So it doesn't hold enough juice.

The KF3.1 uses a needle fill port. Holds a .... ton of juice, and the flavor is aaaaalllmost as good. Not really, but - good enough, similar vape. Great go anywhere - lay it down - don't worry about it atty. Same story about heat. I initially started this off around .9ohm and it was too hot. 1.1-1.2ohm was much more pleasant. It's not a wide open atty. It also has the chamber.

The AGA-T3 is a hard little pita genesis atty that took me some doing to get going but it does vape well. Better than an aqua? Pffft. Nah. Maybe if it was dual? IDK. Flavors are nice and sharp on SS. But it can and will leak. Filling it is meh - open fill port - shoot fluid down mesh wick - use fill port as air port.

Genesis just wick BOTH ways. So filth from the coil can migrate into the juice. Which after a tank or two junks your tank up with burny tasting juice. I pull the mesh wick out. Burn it. Rinse it. Burn it. And slip it back into the coil. I rinse the tank WITH the coil in place. (On the AGA-T3) the coil is fastened to the wick hole area by a nut, and you can't take the tank off without killing your coil. Stupid ... design. The cap is also 42 pounds because they left a lot of material in place to "reduce the chamber". It spews condensation into the cap and it collects and runs into the bottom of the atty deck where it sits with no good way to reclaim it back into the tank.

But when you pop the cap... it usually runs out on you.

Using a cotton 'stub' rolled wick prevents leaking. It also makes wicking touch and go. (Unroll cotton ball by cutting along the grain. Fold, roll, snip both ends so all the cotton strands are in line vertically.)

I run this at 1.2ohm single coil.

Not my favorite.

Notice not much was said about the KF. Holds a lot of juice - doesn't leak - decent vape. That's what makes it so good.
