When I used carto tanks, I mixed my juices at 12mg and then added flavors..so that brought the total mg down some. (I don't use much over 10% flavor) Then when I started with ss mesh rbas, I was getting headaches. This last batch I mixed at 10mg (before flavoring) but I think it's still too high. So today, I mixed some PG and VG 50/50 and started adding it to my tanks to cut the strength in half.

I'm a little concerned that the fda is going to do some sort of regulation on nic and the price may soar. So I stock piled a couple large 500ml bottles. If I can continue to cut my nic, I'll have enough to last me for a long time.

But to answer your question.. yes, I had to cut the strength of my mixes pretty much in half.

Thank you, donnah, for sharing your thoughts with me and answering my questions elsewhere, as well. Potentially being able to lower my nic intake quicker was one of the factors, which prompted to try a RBA type device. Regardless of whether or not that happens for me, it should be an enjoyable learning process.

When I started using ss mesh I didnt notice much difference in nic strength, just flavor. However as I increased wattage (doubling what I used to) I noticed I could half it. Even nic free juice is satisfying to me.

Thanks, Nanooks. I would love to vape nic free, at some point in the future.

I use to love my carto/tanks & used 24mg at work & 16 not working. Chain vaping, no problem. When I got my first rba I was so amazed with how clean the flavor was I literally vaped myself dizzy in the first 15 minutes. I had to force myself to take breaks. I immediately went to 12mg & that's even a little to much. Not at work but for before bed. It's like when I first started vaping and loosing sleep because of the nicotine buzz/effect.

I'm only a month in my AC9 & never looking back....just at saving to get a few more rba's.

I thought it was hype or placebo, before I actually bought a rebuildable. 24mg was my mainstay for years, but after RBAs I was getting VERY mellow from vaping, like that overly relaxed state just before getting dizzy, I also made myself nauseous which could be partially attributed to a 'many new devices' frenzy that lasted a week. I dropped to 12mg but have been bumping it up to 15 and I'm feeling the same as I used to with 24. It's no hype.

After reading and researching this same question, I found that most RBA users cut their nicotine dosage by 1/2.

I vape a mix of 12mg/18mg with my carto tanks and enjoy it just fine. Then I used the same mix on the IGO-L RBA... OH BOY!!! Nicotine rush and jitters immediately hit me! So generally, it may be a good idea to turn down the nicotine dosage a notch if using RBAs.

I have an aga-t2 now, and i get the same thing, that when I vape heavily I need to tone down a bit. THe only issue I have with that is, i am already vaping on 1.7 coil and with my evic up to 10watts, and I get a very light throathit most of the, the vape is smooth. But as I crank it up more i need to tone down the nicotine level. But I am loosing on throathit which I don't want. So still have t to find something working for me

I am pretty sure it is attributed to the efficiency of a well built RBA to go through more juice not so much the nic being boosted, I would imagine everyone who has had to bump the nic down has also started using more juice than they use to. Which would explain why you would bump it down some bc you are vaping alot more juice than you are used to vaping.

Definitely for me, used to vape 24mg with no problem. Once I got my rba the 24 was way to intense even to take a few puffs off of, I subsequently bumped down to 18mg. Even the 18 at times now is way to much, and I have been meaning to step down again, but at the time I needed more liq ave only had 100ml bottles of bobbas in 18 or 24mg, so I will be vaping 18 for atleast another few months.

Yes, after viewing everyone's RBA's set-ups, I can see where these devices may be more efficient. Thus, delivering a much better flavor.

I was at 15mg for almost a year with my eGo using clearomizers and cartotanks, with my RBA I ended up down at 5mg. I got sick at 10mg with my first batch of juice for the RBA. 6 was still a tad too much, got buzzed lol. 5 seems just right, which is kind of awesome, now my nic will last me forever and a day lol!

I have some 100mg bottles still that are good for mixing 20to1 at my current strength, gives me over 2 liters of mix at my 5mg strength per 125ml bottle of nic. I'm pretty sure that'll last a while considering I only use 10-15ml / week.

Received my AGA T2, yesterday. Have been on with it since I have had it. To say that it affords a much better vaping experience is an understatement.

This past week, I had been transition from 24mg to 18mg via cartotanks. Back and forth I would go, as the 18mg was not satisfying enough. Well, today, I have been happily vaping 18mg without any issues.

The only issue, which I have with the AGA T2 is . . . Given the same amount of time vaping, the AGA T2 is quite the thirsty juice delivery device, as compared to my cartotanks. Now, I know for myself . . . Thank, everyone!
