Tried to copy utube smoktek rda build with ribbon kanthal (.05mmx.1mm) and get nowhere near same results. had to wrap probably 6 wraps to get up to 1.5ohm (assuming multimeter reading of 2.1 minus touching the two meter leads of .6ohm = 1.5Ohm) on an Ego twist - can NOT get this wire to glow and very poor vapor. even when overcranking voltage up to 4.8 (which, by the chart should be frying the coil). suppose i could go with less wraps but that seems to get into very low (and dangerous) voltage.

Any suggestions?

I find my Vision spinner to under preform with my smoktek RDA regardless of the coil's resistance or build. I've tried both standard kanthal and ribbon. Switching to my vv/vw mod using 18650s or 18350s with more tolerance for lower ohms has given me greater overall performance. I don't know why, but it just seems like RDA setups don't work fantastically on eGo batts, which is a shame considering the form factor of the eGo battery in general.

Please note however, ribbon in the Octopus doesn't seem to work as well as standard wire on any device I have in my experience. My IGO-L paired with ribbon is great, but can annihilate wicks if I don't feed it properly.

With standard wire, I can get my RBA's coils to glow well if they're above 1.7 ohms. Anything below this, I would not suggest to use on eGo batteries.

Your mileage may vary.

Useful info to take into consideration. I had suspected the Ego battery might somehow be the culprit, Ordering a vamo soon and see if results are different with same setup. Thank you.
