Nectar Micro Impressions:

So I've had this thing for a few days and wanted to report my experiences.

Machining:

The overall quality is very nice. It's not amazing like the NarDA, Snapdragon or Origen v3 but it certainly feels like it's very well made and is worth the money. No scratches, dings or anything like that (as expected). Also, no machine oil whatsoever; if I wasn't so ...., I would've vaped it without even rinsing.
8.5/10

Ease of Build:

This thing is stupid easy to build. It only does single coils (I cannot find a way to put duals in here and if I could, I wouldn't because it would most likely be way too hot) so that's one point that makes it easy to build. The two screws you trap your leads under aren't bad, not as nice as the NarDA but still very easy to trap 26g wire. I've been told it's just like building a Kayfun but since I don't own one, I can't compare. I can say that is significantly easier than rebuilding a Kanger Sub-tank.
One thing to note is that wicking is super critical here; you don't want your wick to be too fat so that it chokes when dipping the wick into the well. You should be able to see a little bit of room around the edges after the wick is in the well; trust me, the juice will not pour from those spaces around the wick tails.
I want to put mesh in here but I feel that building a u-wick will make it very difficult to get the proper coil placement due to how rigid SS mesh is. I don't really feel that mesh is necessary (at least for it's wicking properties) because cotton wicks very well in here if you wick it just right.
9/10

Draw:

The draw is something like a single 1.8mm air hole (I don't own calipers, that's just an estimate after comparing it to a bunch of other atties). For me, I like it quite a bit. It still allows for restricted lung hits and mouth to lung hits are definitely a possibility too. It also feels very smooth. Something about it feels just right for the way it's designed.
8/10

Juice Well:

The well holds more juice than it may appear; the specs say 30-40 drops and I would say that is pretty accurate. If you mainly drip, 1.4 mL seems less than it is. I was actually getting irritated that there was still so much juice left in my well because I wanted to try out other flavors in it. As someone who changes flavors multiple times a day, the juice well is the perfect size; just enough to vape for an hour drive but not so much that you get tired of the flavor you're vaping.
Leaking is also not a problem surprisingly; I can hold it upside down for about 8 seconds before anything starts coming out of the drip tip and that's only when the juice well is nearly full; definitely a good pocket atomizer.
9.5/10

Performance:

I was trying to hold off as long as possible for this section because this where the magic happens. Please don't shoot me after saying this: the flavor on this thing beats the NarDA! It's cleanest, purest, most intense flavor I've ever experienced. The flavor is so strong it will stick in the back of your throat. It's like almost like your sucking on a throat lozenge of your juice! I believe the flavor has to do with the size of the chamber and no pictures I've seen really show the chamber size that well: the top cap has a reduced height around the edges so when you put it on, there is an extremely small space for the coil. This has the smallest chamber I've ever seen so far, even smaller than Le Magister.
My first build was a single 26g Kanthal A1, 9/10 wrap, 2mm ID that came to 1.05 ohms. I have never been so satisfied vaping at 14 watts in my life. This build is so good I cannot bring myself to take it out. The coil is so close the air holes it almost shorts out.
With that said, I still prefer the NarDA at this moment. For me, I like a warm, dense vape that hits hard; this is more of luke warm, moderately dense vape that seems better for 'sipping' than filling your lungs up with dense vapor. The flavor is better but for someone who came from mech mods and usually builds below 0.7 ohms, this may take some time to get used to.
10/10

Overall:

Once again, a clone that performed well enough to make me fork out $110 has once again been beat by the authentic. Obviously the authentic has WAY better machining but in my experiences, the vape is usually very very similar. Not here; the authentic vapes so much better than my clone it's ridiculous.
I was extremely impressed with this atty and if I lost this today, I would be on every site I know of trying to find another.

If you like taking 1-4 second drags, do not buy this

One of these less stressful weeks, I will force myself to use this exclusively to see if I can get used to this style of vape. I love this so much I just bought an In'Ax dripper; whether you consider this a tiny genny or a dripper with a tank, I now have an ever growing interest in gennys.

Looks like 2016 may be the year of gennys for me....

I've always wondered how those In'Ax are, I see them everywhere now. I've wanted a nectar micro for a while now but never wanted to spend the money on it, well that and I haven't seen anyone review one yet and I just can't find the damn thing anywhere except one place that wants 120$ for it.....but if it's worth it then I don't mind. Now you have me Googling the f*** out of Google to find one! Thanks for the excellent and well typed review. Where did you get yours anyway? Vapinart?

I got mine from www.thevaporclub.com but I believe I bought the last one. Vapingart does restock these every few months though so you should be able to find one there eventually.

I will say at this price, don't settle for a nano, get a micro. A nano has too small of a juice well IMO as where the micro is perfect for us drippers who want a little more mileage.

I will post a review of the in'ax as well once I get it and use it for a while.

Yeah I don't want the nano, just the micro. And I just checked vapinart, there 107$, that's not bad actually. I think when I get paid I'm gonna buy this. And I gotta sell some stuff in the mean time too cause I have just WAY too many rda's if I add this to the collection but it needs to happen.

Hi all, I picked up a Dog3 (V3) I haven't seen any posts on it and very few you tube vids (2 to be exact) I'm not real sure where the coils should be positioned in regards to the air flow. My initial thoughts are to have them smack dab in front of the opening. But maybe they should be up higher. Air flow wide open is fine, but I prefer about 50% or a bit less open. It's a really nice vape. huge clouds of course as you may know. Nice drip tip ! It's a very quiet vape, which is something I really like. I don't use super high watts, so maybe that's why it's quiet. 25 watts .4 ohm, twitsted dual. So if any one else has a Dog3 and can do a show n tell so I know where to position my coils (they are ok now, but maybe I could do better) let me know. The main thing i'm concerned about is the dreaded leaking out the airflow. I'll take it to work with me tomorrow and give it an all day work out. Thanks...

Put them up a little bit above the AFC, so the bottom of the coil is just above the AFC. That's probably what I would do. If you're going with the low wrap on the outside posts, it should be easy to level off. If you go with the low wraps into the centerpost block (or center post if you're using one single post), before installing your coils, try to bend the lead on the high wrap 90° to match the height of the low wrap. Post up some pics! The DOG3 looks pretty nice actually.
And if you're getting leakage, move your wicks so they're not near the AFC & don't over drip!

It's got a Velocity deck. The airflow is stupid as are the juice channels. I have a ridiculous amount of cotton in there and it still was a bit leaky after filling. That was probably user error. Should've inverted it, oh well. After a bit of vaping that went away. The flavor is pretty darn good considering the amount of airflow.

ETA: Authentic. Only cost $30.99. The 22mm is, I think, $26.99. Well machined, comes with Phillips grub screws installed and a set of Hex grubs in the spares bag.

That actually reminds me of the VCMT from VaperzCloud. Same premise. Same deck and everything and same sizes. I almost got it but it was pretty expensive and I haven't had a rebuildable tank in years so I passed. But this is nice and a good deal.

Yeah, pretty much the same thing but about $35 cheaper. This is the first RTA I've used that actually did it for me.

All over the place
Those tanks look like they take some large coils and wicks. I could possibly dig it, maybe. But it would only be me trying the 22 mm. I don't have any mod that I could put a 30 mm tank. That thing is big! I keep going to back to the pic to see if what I am seeing is correct.

Sorry, I was excited and wanted to share. Like I said, it's the first RTA I've picked up in awhile and it's working beautifully.

No worries. Thanks for showing. I may not have ever come across it.

It doesn't look too bad on the RX200. Only a slight overhang on the front of the mod. I'd prefer the 22mm for out and about. Considering this tank holds, I think, 10ml of juice you'd think it would be the out and about one but it's just too big of a combo with the RX200. It's gonna be great for days off vegging at home playing vidja games.

Friend of mine picked up the VCMT 30mm tank recently. Looks strikingly similar to this one. Huge build deck. He runs 3/16" dia coils, 24ga n80, like 12 wraps and still has clearance. He also drinks through the tank in about 2 vape breaks (15min a piece). I'd love to see a shorty version of the huge tanks coming out. The height just kills it for me.

On that topic, I'm looking for a new RTA for my COV Mini Volt 40w that is coming in soon. Something with a decent capacity (3-4ml), easy build deck, probably single coil if I'm only running 40w max, that has top fill. I've had my eye on the Pico RTA clone, but I fear horrible FT quality. I was also looking at the tfv4 mini as they have released the "backup kit" that shortens the tank and uses smaller coil heads, in turn taking it from a tall 3.5ml tank to a short 4ml tank (amazes me). But, I dont see a "shorty" RBA being released for it yet.

I straight up almost completely refuse to use replaceable coil heads. All the organic cotton heads I've gotten since I started using rayon just lack in flavor and never last more than a week.

Suggestions? :D
