I wanted an m-atty when I first saw it way back when, I just loved the looks, till I realized I had to sell my soul to get one. And if I'm honest here, it doesn't look all that special anyway, same old 3 post design, I do like the looks still but that doesn't matter anyway, imo it doesn't look like it's work what the price is.

I agree with @jhhollier except mine is reverse, I like the hobo 3.1 a tad more, only cause it's perfect for me, and my needs. But like he said it's basically neck and neck really. It comes to a point where I don't really get why I keep spending unnecessary money on inferior rda's it's pretty annoying.

It's definitely hard to decide which of the two I like more. One day I lean toward the Hobo and the next it's the NarDA. You can't go wrong with either, really. And to top it off both Nareg and Hoberto give amazing customer service and created an inclusive, friendly community around their products. Until there's a Hobo V4 or NarDA V2, I don't see me looking at any new drippers. I'll definitely be buying at least one more each of the Hobo V3.1 and NarDA, though.

Agreed!! I think I just want that satin NarDA and I'll be good for a while. You have me drooling thinking about a hobo v4 or a NarDA v2, that would be amazing. I've always loved Hoberto's customer service from the beginning of his run, now that I see how Nareg runs stuff there like the same person! Lol. Both amazing at what they do, period.

What would you want out of a Hobo V4 or NarDA V2?

Hobo V4 - Keep the two post, keep the small form factor, make the barrel easier/more convenient to remove.

NarDA V2 - Make it easier to build, maybe open the airflow a tad

good day guys, just wondering how will you stack this rdas in terms of flavor NarDA vs hobo 3.1 vs m-atty

I once compared the two saying I like the vape more off the Hobo but the flavor more off the NarDA. Honestly, aside from them both being extremely well made, the two aren't exactly all that comparable. Maybe in a sense, seeing that you can get *the Hobo to vape more like the NarDA than you can to get the NarDA to vape like the Hobo, but ultimately I think the Hobo has more versatility and the NarDA has more flavor.

*Note: I am not saying you can get NarDA-like flavor off the Hobo, just that you can reduce the airflow to make the draw similar but you can't open up the NarDA to Hobo levels.

As for the M-Atty, I was interested until I learned more of what was really being sold (status metal). Whatever.

I find one aspect of the M-Atty fascinating.
  1. Construct yet another 3 post side airflow leaker.
  2. Attach a ridiculously high price tag.
  3. Limit production and sell it only to people "in the know".
  4. Put on a David Attenborough hat and observe the behavior of the community.

Honestly I'm not too sure about the hobo v4, maybe have 2 holes in each post for even more ease of build and basically what you said about the barrel.

The NarDA however I'd say open it up more for easier dual coil builds and maybe open up the air flow a tiny bit. But I'm just going off of my personal preference.

Good call on making the NarDA more dual coil friendly. I don't mind that the current version is essentially a single coil atty that can be pressed into dual coil duty. I run it at lower wattages and get better battery life when using it. Still, it'd be nice to be able to easily put in a dual coil build if I want to. The Hobo is a breeze.

That's how I feel, I'm ok with it being a single coil only, hell that's basically why I bought one. But the option to have it there and be easier would be nice as well. The hobo is easy, but you take something like the tugboat v3 that has the same post set up and it's a crazy pain in the a**. But that's mostly cause the hobos sleeve comes off and the tugboat is notorious for raising there wall too damn much.

With respect to the Tugboat V3, I just don't understand why the hell anyone would want to make a two-post atty hard to build on. I am still dumbfounded with the way they set that up.

And I was so looking forward to the V3 of the Tugboat. I came close to picking one up during their Christmas sale and now I'm glad I didn't.

Respect huh? No, they lost that on this version. When a v1 and v2 are better then the new, there's a serious problem.

All Hobo v3+ owners:

How do you place your coils for a dual coil setup? I'm so used to placing my coils as close to the air flow as possible and I feel the Hobo v3.1 likes to fight me on that. When I get my coils built and placed where I think they should be, I can no longer get the outer barrel back on because of the ledge that locks the barrel onto the deck. I end up messing up my coils in order to get that barrel back on. I usually will be able to get that back on without screwing up the coils too much but then wicking it becomes a real pain.

Does anyone have any advice?

I have my coils about midway between the posts and the airflow. I wick then put the barrel on. Haven't had any issues other than it can be a bit of a pain to get the barrel off and on due to the o-rings. I know a lot of people just pull off the larger of the two o-rings on the deck but I'm stubborn and leave both on.

I do the same thing J does, mine are about in the middle I'd say. Not too close to the air flow but far enough away from the posts. When I break down for a rebuild or just a re-wick I wipe everything down from the old juice so it's not so messy. With the hobo 3.1 I like to keep the bottom of the sleeve wet with juice and the o-rings wet as well, the sleeve goes on the deck flawlessly now that I do that. Trying to do it dry is like trying to break bricks with your hands, it can be done, but have fun. The way I have mine set up now is one big parallel coil, with both air flow holes open on either side but closed half way and the coil isn't in the middle. It's a great vape with the air set up this way, this way it's hitting both sides of the coil but not too much to the point where it's too airy. I found that with just the one single coil air flow option open it wasn't enough air, and it was just too dense for me.

Dang, man. :) And here I thought I was being critical of them. LOL. I was just using that as a figure of speech.

I get my coils right up on the air hole. I kind of snake the barrel around one coil. Then pull that side inward to get the lip around the far coil.
