I have heard this statement about every single rta that's come out for the last 6 months lol. I thought the same about my Aromamizer, but the lack of easily adjustable airflow options and tiny deck chamber have me second guessing. I'll have to look into the Griffin though. I think the massive height turned me off from it since I've been on a short height, top fill rta search lately.

I loved the look and idea of the Avacado, I just don't think I could get down with something that doesn't have an easy fill method. A small fill hole with a grommet like the Fodi would make it pretty much good to go. Oh, and top airflow lol.

I didn't buy the hype either but I figured "What the eff?" I wanted something to take on the go and the Griffin is cheap enough so I took a chance. For me, the hype is real. I've been vaping it pretty much non-stop since I got it. I still use my NarDA and Hobo but the Griffin is getting most of the action.

As long as you run the Avocado in single coil mode (which I am), it's easy to fill. Just pop out the ceramic bit, dump in juice, replace the ceramic bit, vape. The flavor isn't quite as good as the Griffin but it's still nice.

I saw in the Griffin thread that you also own an Aromamizer and the Ohmega. And you're running claptons in it right? If you're saying the flavor is better, I will trust you. I run fused claptons in everything, so that's reassuring.

*Adds it to the list under the Aeolus Lite* hehe

I do have an Ohmega but not an Aromamizer. I didn't want to deal with bottom fill so I skipped it. I'm running 3mm ID Claptons (single core though) in the Griffin and they fit easily. Intense flavor, dense vapor. I'll be buying a 2nd this weekend if that tells you anything.

Damn, I wonder if I can squeeze one into my paycheck this weekend lol. It would be amazing if they came out with a "shorty kit" for it. I can stand to lose a few ml to have something shorter. I've gotten used to the 3ml capacity in the Aromamizer and being able to change flavors after my 30min commute to work lol.

Edit: just saw it's only a 3.5ml capacity anyway. Maybe it's not as tall as I'm assuming it is.

It's tallish for an RTA, probably because of the bigger deck and chamber but it's not freakishly tall. It looks just fine on my SX Mini and even better on the RX200.

The new Hastur is a nice little ~$20 atty. Very nice actually! Nice feel to the airflow (almost swirling) and no leaking. If the Velocty-style deck was made just a bit better and the overall unit was a tad bit beefier, I would never believe this was so cheap. As it is, there are atties 4x this price that aren't made better or even vape better. So nice to see good gear at these prices without it having to be a knock-off! This was a really good purchase.

I think I might throw in the towel with the Solstice. I've tried 5 builds and nothing is satisfying like my Aeolus v2 is. Looks like the Aeolus Lite it is for me. I actually think that with the dual post (of the 4 or so different ones I've tried) adds extra volume to the chamber, making the vapor not as dense and warm. If my theory is correct, the Aeolus Lite will be better than my v2 because of how much more center post there is lol.

Just goes to show you how different I guess we all are, maybe your more geared towards top air flow. I'd comment more on that but I didn't get much time with mine.....[emoji35]

I really like my original Hastur but I don't use it much for one reason: I put Pluid in it lol. I like Pluid but I can't really drip anything else in it now so I only use it when I want Pluid. I may have to pick up the V2 so I can use other juices and 'cause of the V Deck.

Pluid stains EVERYTHING! It just won't come out!!!!!! It's like the glitter of eliquid.

Looks like they changed the chuff cap a little bit too, eh?

Yep, and it and it has this spitback protection thing going on . . . (let me take a pic real quick). It works to prevent spitback on one hand, and on the other you can actually still get a lot of liquid in the mouth (due to it pooling at the bottom of the spitback plate), but only if you pull too hard. It's a lot of air (not excessively so), but I find it likes easy drags and then the liquid in the mouth ceases. It has a really nice 'hit' when you take it easy.

They did include a separate adapter for a 510 tip, so that should make others happy. Overall, just a really nice atty for the money . . . and in general. Surprisingly good flavor (for what I expected) and the vapor production should be obvious.

Edit: just tried it without the spitback wide-bore tip and used a regular 510. Wouldn't you know it, no spitback with a regular tip. Cray! LOL

Where'd you find it? I checked the Cthulhu site and Smog Distro (which is kaput now) and Elev8 Vape are the only two US retailers listed. Elev8 doesn't have it listed on their site.

I seriously can't remember where I got it from . . . give me a sec. Hmm . . . I still can't see becasue I didn't set up an account (from wherever I got it from), and I used PP. The sender is in Chinese script.

I mean, after looking at everything I've purchased in the last year, the only ones I still use are the Aeolus v2 and sometimes the Vector. I may have to go ahead and get the comp top for the vector because my biggest complaint of that was the enormous drip top and airflow right beside my lips lol.

I think you're right about the top airflow preference though. I love to over drop and never leak. The Av2 spoiled me on that.

I guess we are just different after all.
