Where did you hear that? Lol. In my opinion, Hoberto and Nareg are damn near the same people. I was told by both of them to use the Narda BF pin for my hobo 3.1, I've been using it for a little over 2 weeks now and it's flawless. Don't be discouraged by whatever you read, trust me it fits and it works great!

Hmm it was a review in this website I was digging through and just mentioned it was loose but that's why I brought it to the small council for judgement bwahaha seriously though I figured you rda junkies if anyone would have the 411 8) dammit 8 for a bf pin was dirt cheap I got my fingers crossed for a restock!

I wrote hoberto on face book with a few questions about the drifter and the sale and to my surprise he wrote me back the next day !!!! Super nice dude and he assured me that there will be another 200 drifters going up next weekend and then it will be hitting shops basically just telling me to keep calm and vapes on and a drifter shall be mine haha I'm just super stoked he's down to earth and personally answers his fan mail !!! Thanks guys and if anyone has an extra Narda bf pin I'll buy it :headbang:

It is my understanding they are the exact same pin, sourced from the same place.

Makes sense lol I understand how it is to read something and second guess it especially with so many opinions flying around and not enough facts. I will always stand behind Hoberto, the guy is just plain nice and respectful. I remember way back when I was having problems with my hobo v2's, he called me from his cell to talk me through it and helped me sift through what might be wrong. What modder does that??! None, exactly.

Ahhhh, well there ya go, that sounds right. Thanks for the info!

Are we open to talk in here about rda's we'd like to see on the market or are you only talking about rda's that are released or pre-release?

Thanks
I don't see why not, we pretty much talk about anything vape related in here, it's pretty open to most topics. Welcome!

It is.

Tip: I was unaware of how to take off the top cap from the base, so I reached out to Hoberto. He said this,

"The barrel comes off by twisting the barrel to the right and aligning the post.
Once they align, the key will line up to the slot on the barrel making it easy to pop off."

Just keep that in mind when you get it out of the package. You should be fine now (if you hadn't already known).

Thanks for this @Mr.Mann I still had to check out a video because that barrel was not turning at all. But...

Pics of the 3.1 please I ordered one from viper also 8) I still need to grab the naRDA BF pin for it however I heard the fit is a roll of the dice can anyone who has used the naRDA BF pin weigh in on how good it wprks with the hobo v3.1

@Sed8op8 I ended up having to slide a 1/16" drill bit through the holes and leverage the slots to align with the tabs. Once that happened the barrel popped right off. Maybe putting a little juice on the O-rings will lube it up a bit.

Pics of the tabs are below:

I forgot about the center post being adjustable on the Hobo. Any issues with it moving around?

The one I had, yes. It moved a lot and was a huge annoyance. I hadn't heard too many others speak about it, so maybe mine was an anomaly? I actually had forgotten about it. When liquid was in the well, that thing could sometimes slide around like Bambi on ice.

He is a really cool guy for sure. Luckily his machine shop is less than 10 miles from my office so have been over to see production. Hoberto is very down to earth and enjoys what he does.

I have the opposite experience with the one I got - the barrel is boarder line too tight and is very hard to get on and off. Guess it is random, Hoberto had a devil of a time showing me how it connects and disconnects when I picked mine up. The good news is I can set it and forget it ;)

Same here. Even if I lube the deck o-rings the barrel is fairly difficult to rotate and remove. I said this earlier in the thread but while the locking barrel is a nice idea in theory the actual performance leaves a lot to be desired. If the V3.1 didn't vape ridiculously well I would've sold it almost immediately.

Really goes to show what an amazing machinist Hoberto is. In all honesty I replied wrong to the quote, they were talking about the positive post which I have never had move at all.

This is the reason the Drifter is such an odd RDA for me, I would have expected some crazy machining that would bring it to another level. Guess if it vapes better than the v3.1, I'll be a happy camper. Mine should arrive in 24 hrs.

Weird I never had my positive post move. Even when I removed the 510 pin and replaced it with the BF one the positive post didn't move easily.

See, that's why I never made a big fuss about it. I knew if it was beyond just a problem I had, it absolutely would've been common knowledge.

Also, I have a weird knack for getting the ONE problem atty out of a bunch.

I'm anxious to read opinions on the Drifter. I want one cause Hoberto is awesome and I want to support him but I'm holding off for now. That's really easy to do considering there are none available but still I'd like to get opinions first.

You and @HeiSINberg do seem to have a knack for it
