Yeah, wait! I didn't see your post either. The Magma was my first rda. Loved the ease of build and flavor but, as you know, it's leaks. I was willing to put up with it because the flavor was so good. I tried the MXV4. Couldn't get a decent build. It leaked all the juice out. It was a pain.

Then, higher side air flows and top air flows started showing up.

I'd suggest instead of the MXV4 you could get the Sabot for the same price: Sapor RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer by Wotofo or The Vector: Find the The Vector RDA by VLS Online Here - Viper Vape

For a little more the royal hunter: Royal Hunter RDA by The Council of Vapor

The RH and Vector can rival the Magma for flavor. The Sapor comes close. Both easy to build. Neither leaks.

Good Luck!
How do you feel about clones? And is the plume veil any good. I guess the mxv4 just looks so badass. Thanks for the input I'll go check those other rda's out

maybe it's just me but I despise the plumeveil, it is the leakiest of all, who thought of placing 2 drains on the deck so your juice can leak on the sides and then have juice well?? is like trying to drink your coffee from a cup that has a hole (that is not a feature!!!!)

rant over

I wish I could like this a million times over....and then another million times on top. The plume veil is STRAIGHT garbage! Do not waste your time. And if you do buy it I hope you have a towel ready cause she's a squirter. Worst design ever. That and I was in a long and painful pre order with Aethertech and long story short got screwed. They'll never get a cent out of me, ever!

And I don't mean to have your ideas or wants getting shot down. I've personally just wasted money and time on the plume veil, it's not worth it. However if it's something you really want, then by all means go for it. I know the feeling.

You can get a decent vape out of mxv4 but it's not a good atty for just starting out, it kind of combines all the little intricacies into one big cluster of an RDA if your not experienced and will lead to some frustration and on top of that it's like a jack of all trades master of none type of atty. You'd be better off with an MXV3 to start if your stuck on that atty. No matter what you buy, you're going to end up buying more later, wether you're telling yourself you won't or not you will. So don't stress over it too much, it's all a learning experience, we've all bought atty's we ended up regretting, its just a part of the process and there's always someone waiting to buy your old attys in the classifieds if you put forth the effort to sell them (i'm way too lazy lol) but until you buy them and experiment with them yourself you'll never find the atty that's perfect for you because everyone is different, in the end the only person that can tell you what atty is best for you is you and the only way to figure that out is through experience. So buy whatever you think looks the best, build on it, learn how to get the best vape you can out of it then make your next decision based on what you've just learned. Don't sweat the details just yet. Good luck man!

Hey
Haven't tried the Plume. The others here who have more experience and a critical eye give good advice on just about any RDA. They've sure helped me!

I like the four post design on the mxv4 and the versatility to find out what I like. I think I'm ready for a more "advanced". I would go for mxv3 but heard the flavor sucks. I want something that has big clouds and at least decent flavor.

What gauge are you using for your Claptons? I would think it would be hard to get claptons with a high enough resistance out of nickel. Seems like it would mess up the TC as well with the other wire acting as a heatsink throwing off the resistance table? I see a lot of people using it with just the one or 1 1/2 slots open. I did see one guy doing single coil twisted build between the posts so you could always try that. Good luck!

yes this is my next idea. and my clapton is 26 tempered ni200 with regular 28guage ni200 as the wrap. i love the coils they work great and the dna 200 is the only device capable of firing a dual version which im glad i have a few of them to use. but i realized that since below .04 the dna200 drops the wattage limit fast the lowe the resistance. so even tho it read at .03 which it can fire, it was saying short cause i had it set to 80 watts. had i lowered the wattage to 60 id be fine. but i since cut the coil off and i will be trying a single down the middle next. hoping it has decent flavor being that the coil isnt directly in front of the airflow and the wicks will be in front of the airflow. cool rda tho im still happy with it.

All over the place
Hey all, just letting some of the regulars know that I am still around just incredibly busy right now. I will be tied up for at least the next three weeks, but I will pop in to read every now and again. My alerts on ECF don't work worth a damn, so if there is something you want me to see, tag me--I do get notified if I am tagged.

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum but been flavor chasing for almost half a year now. I see a lot a great comments in this thread and I would like to give some input.

First thing, no one here owns an Ology?? This thing is my favorite overall flavor atomizer right, the flavor is noticeably better than the origen v3. I would say the draw is almost identical to the origen v3 with the second largest holes open (the ology is dual coil only atomizer). In order of best flavor, here is how I rank all flavor RDAs that I've tried (all authentic):

1. Ology
2. Origen v3
3. Aeolus v2 Pro
4. Marquis
5. Evil Monk
6. Veritas
7. Aeolus v1
8. Vertex v2
9. Magma
10. Hastur
11. Derringer

I have yet to try a stumpy (which seems to get a ton of praise here), haven't been able to find one in stock.

Also, I plan on buying a new flavor RDA tomorrow and can't decide between the LowPro dripper and the Thump RDA (wish I could buy both but this paycheck may be a bit tight).

Out of these two RDAs, which would you assume would have better flavor? I can't find any reviews on these things since they are so new. I am leaning towards towards the Thump atty because I cannot get over how much I love the top airflow on my Aeolus'. However, I want really intense flavor along the lines of the Ology and Origen v3. It looks like the LowPro dripper pretty much has top-down side airflow similar to the aromamizer and hastur RDA (and I am not a big fan of the hastur or even the derringer for that matter). With that said, it just appears that the Thump might better suit me since it has top airflow. I like short atomizers but I don't need the shortest on the market, I just want MO FLAVAH!!

Me and you have that in common! I love me some small attys! There by far my favorite. I also wanted the thump but I went for the low pro. I'm still waiting for mine to show up in the mail but this will be the first place I post my thoughts for sure.
