Yeah that thing is crazy looking lol looks like it holds 5 drops of juice. Definetly a "paint the wicks" kind of atty.

Got the Phenotype today, haven't had time to build it or anything yet but just looking over it a couple neat things, the afc is nice the 4 holes get progressively smaller and with just the smallest hole open the draw is roughly the same as a stock Tugboat V2. The deck is nice it's shallower than the Tug v2 and this one uses 2 orings so no leaking looks like it will be really nice to build on AND the Tugboat caps fit the deck! So you can have a 2 post deck with all your Tugboat caps if you want. This is pretty freaking cool lol

Damn that blast shield cap from AVLyfe with the top air flow would be awesome with that deck!

All over the place
Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum but been flavor chasing for almost half a year now. I see a lot a great comments in this thread and I would like to give some input.

First thing, no one here owns an Ology?? This thing is my favorite overall flavor atomizer right, the flavor is noticeably better than the origen v3. I would say the draw is almost identical to the origen v3 with the second largest holes open (the ology is dual coil only atomizer). In order of best flavor, here is how I rank all flavor RDAs that I've tried (all authentic):

1. Ology
2. Origen v3
3. Aeolus v2 Pro
4. Marquis
5. Evil Monk
6. Veritas
7. Aeolus v1
8. Vertex v2
9. Magma
10. Hastur
11. Derringer

I have yet to try a stumpy (which seems to get a ton of praise here), haven't been able to find one in stock.

Been wanting an Ology! I spoke about it here earlier in the thread.

Get one, you definitely won't regret it. Ever since I got I've been more ology chasing than flavor chasing. The origen comes really close but I still prefer the ology. The flavor seems to punch the back of my throat a little harder than the origen. It's hard to even to vape tricks with the ology because the flavor is so intense you don't wanna stop tasting it.

That's good looking! The cap has a Marquis feel to it. I haven't tried an Origen yet. How does the Ology comPare to the Marquis?

Thanks

The OLOGY is made by the dudes who brought us the Veritas. You know how Mr Mann doesnt like the Marquis and theres always that ONE ATTIE that even though you know its an amazing attie you just dont like it...thats the OLOGY for me. I tried everything, got a thin vape. Tasty but not even close to dense. I like the ORIGEN3 ten times more.

You've got a good memory, I forgot all about that thing, $65 bucks for a cap though sheesh It looks kinda tall for a top airflow too..

Agreed. It was just the thought of the top air flow and 2 post design. Even though I would also not like it so tall, id prefer it to be smaller.

Yea that would be cool, theres that square top airflow cap too but I don't really like the looks of it, i'm sure there are more caps to come though lol

I'd say it has a bit more flavor. It's more of warm stream of flavor as where the Marquis is has more body to it. To me, this makes the ology feel like it has more of an intense flavor. The draw is a tad tighter than the Marquis too; it's not much but it's noticeable. I actually close the airflow off slightly on the ology but with my chimney coils in my Marquis I keep it wide open. If have any questions, feel free to ask; I've experimented quite a bit with both atties.

Wicked up the Phenotype, not all that impressed with it so far. I threw some claptons in there the flavor is decent if you take it down to one hole open but the draw is really weird theres like no resistance to it and as soon as you crack a second hole open you get like double the airflow and it's pretty noisy once you do that. You can alternate between the larger hole on one end and the smaller hole on the other end and keep it fairly quiet though. Condensation builds up between the AFC and topcap that looks messy kind of like the derringer used to do.

I'm not sure what they were thinking with those 4 gigantic airholes, I think you would need to vape at like 3-400 watts to actually open up more than 2 of them. Or maybe run quad coils but they only put 1 hole in each of the posts so quads would be a pain in the .... to do. I do like the deck though, really easy to build on, nice big post holes, gold plated center post however for some reason they put grub screws in it but instead of hex head they are flathead..Why? Fortunately they look like standard .050 so should be easy to find some hex head replacements.

Gonna play with it some more before a final verdict, it's just my first build obviously but either way I'm really happy about being able to use this deck with my tugboat caps as the deck is much nicer than the tugboat deck. The RDA as a standalone kinda seems like a fuster cluck at this point in time though.

Mark my words, there will be an atty, eventually, that comes out called the "bird cage"! There is a such thing as too much.

Ooh, look! The conical chamber provides so much flavor!

LOL it's true, it doesn't make a lot of sense though, at first I thought it was functional because all the airholes are different sizes, so just pick the air hole you like but theres no way to use the 2 middle airflow holes without closing off the outside ones, so that makes no sense. Then on top of that the AFC is 45 degree slanted so you have to be extremely precise just to close off all the airholes except one and even then a bit of the open one is closed off in the corner. It just makes no sense, it's like overkill city for no reason, theres no way anyone could ever use that much airflow and the AFC should just be straight up and down not 45 degree.

Having said that though I have managed to get pretty respectable flavor out of it by throwing on the drip tip top cap instead of the chuff and just using the one larger air hole. Also tried it with a dotmod friction fit but didn't make much difference, its a really nice drip tip that it comes with.

Probably will try a vertical build in it next as with those vertical airflow slots it just seems like the way to go.

I don't understand the point of vertical coils. I mean, if the airflow comes from the side won't it just hit the same area of the coil anyway? Like with the Origen, that air hole is going to be centered on the coil. Whether the coil is horizontal or vertical, the air will hit the same part of the coil. So why mess with building vertical which is more cumbersome, especially wicking, IMO? When I get an Origen V3, horizontal all day every day.

No, say you have a coil thats 6mm length by 2.5mm width and you have an airflow right next to that coil thats 6mm length by 2.5mm width, if the coil is horizontal and the air hole is vertical then the air will be much more concentrated on the center of the coil. Think of it as a + sign the airflow concentrates in the middle. Now rotate that coil 90 degrees and it suddenly becomes a | Even airflow all the way across the coil, more even temperature, more surface area for the air, more even flavor of the juice because the whole coil maintains the same temperature.
