I love that mod ya got Mr Mann, cool build. Not for me, but as ya say not really for you either...but ya tried it. I NEED one haha
With that many coils definitely build lower so the ramp up time won't be bad, also N80 nichrome works wonders for this kind of stuff because it ramps up a lot faster than kanthal, I don't know about quads haven't tried them yet but this is kinda my vape style bigger builds with shorter draws. I just don't like taking long draws 1-2 second draws and still get a nice mouthful of vapor. Build looks real nice though! Are you still using VCC? I got my VCC a few days ago I notice it gives considerably more spit back/juice in mouth than the bacon does. The VCC looks real nice almost like silk but honestly I kinda think it's better for bedsheets than it is for vaping at this point. Still gonna play with it though.

Just a heads up for anyone who tries VCC and doesn't like it, I will take it off your hands gladly. I'm not feeling the bacon v2 it doesn't last worth a damn and tastes like poo. I'd rather use native wicks then that, least it lasts some what longer.

I'm not downing it or anything I'm starting to realize it's almost a preference. Just like people like certain juices and some don't ya know. Just for me VCC is it, I'm not sure why but it just works for me and works well. The bacon v2 was nice at first but after a couple days it wasn't tasting right and I had it in 4 different set ups. I try not to make it too tight inside the coil, but not too loose either, its hard to explain sorry lol I'm surprised you don't like it honestly, different strokes I guess.Really? I'm surprised, I don't get any taste from either one and I don't get any spit back from the bacon but I got a mouthful of juice for the first time ever using the vcc in my aeolus v2. Do you wick it the same as regular cotton? Maybe I have it too tight or too loose or something but so far I'm not really liking it.

Maybe you just like what you like ya know lol I think everyone has there own thing that's there go to wicking material. I've tried a bunch of them and don't like them as much so maybe it's just me who knows. Leave it up to me to like the only one that's the most expensive lol.Yea, I rewick every couple days anyways so don't really notice. I don't have a problem with the taste or longevity though, it just doesn't seem as absorbent, like it doesn't hold onto the juice as well. If you say it's good though, maybe it's my wicking job, i'll have to mess around with it some more.
I had the same problem when I first got it but now that I'm on my 4th jar it's almost expected and not as hard. Plus I normally always wrap the same diameter coil so I'm used to it now. But you are right about it being a pain at first but the more and more you use it it'll be like 2nd nature to you.I also like the taste and cleanliness of the VCC but, I seem to find myself wasting it trying to get a proper wick thickness. Something about the fine-ness of the silky threads that makes what looks to be a thicker wick isn't that thick.

It is NOT all cotton!!!! How dare you, this is angel hair! Lol jk. What you do is exactly what I do, pull a tiny bit off and make it fit into the diameter of my coil. What I like about VCC is that their are no cotton boogers or pregnant pieces and if you misjudge the width of the cotton you first pull out, adding some more (hair?) too it is easy. I find it less wasteful where the CB is cool and all, but many more pieces I find to be more finicky to get smoothed out and consistent. It's all cotton though.
to improve ramp up time on claptons I made without knowing a staged heat build, just found out.
the idea is to use 2 types of coils, one that heats much faster than the clapton so it will work while the clapton is waking up...
here is a video that I've just found

I started doing something similar with my fused claptons. By similar, I mean that I'm putting the second wire inside the clapton. Running one now with fused 26ga (one wire nichrome80, one wire SS316L) wrapped in 34ga nichrome80.
I have them too lol there awesome. I think there all different too, very slight but they are there.I'm with you guys on the cotton is just cotton but there is a difference in the different types, have you ever slept on egyptian cotton bed sheets? They are like silk sheets, look like them, feel like them, I love those sheets! They are way different than normal cotton sheets. I wonder if the supima is the same kinda thing. Can't believe y'all got me talking about bed sheets now lmao
