Wah i want an achilles and narda and can't get either :(
My immortalizer plus just arrived. The screws are too short to tighten 28 wire so i had to wind the legs around the coil heads. For my liking, the afc even completely closed has too much air for a mtl. All in all, kinda disappointed. Jury is still out on the flavor.
Any other recommendations for a flavor, throat hit, mtl, single coil atty? I have a veritas (still my favorite), nectar nano, A7, immortalizer plus and derringer :)

I would say the AX1 but one of my negative posts stripped the other day and its been over 48 hours since I sent an email to support without a response. Awesome customer service right there!

I just looked at the AX1 and Aeronaut. The ax1 doesn't appeal to me much, but the aeronaut, save it's exaggerated height, looks interesting. Always preferred bottom airflow and it looks like it can be tightened enough for a restricted MTL, with the top one closed. Can anyone tell me if it's worth taking over the veritas?

I'll be honest, if you want something that will compare to the veritas, you're gonna be looking for a while; I've had more RDAs than I can remember and the veritas is the one I still love the most for the quality of the vape. With that said, I still love my origen v3, ology and snapdragon. Out of those, I would highly recommend checking out the origen since it has everything you're looking for.

I still prefer my veritas but the origen is very close.

Yeah I have but I'm kinda looking for a dedicated single coil atty :)
The origen keeps getting so much rave, i'm probably gonna have to give it a go. Either that or settle that the veritas is a beast and stop looking for new rda's :D
At least until i get my hands on an achilles v2 or narda that is :D

I get it trust me, that's why I wanted/got the NarDA. But the hobo 3.1 can be ran in single more ways then a few that's why I suggested it. But you like what you like ya know.

Damnit @HeiSINberg, I swear every time I read your posts lately, all I hear is "just get a damn Hobo 3.1" in a chanting voice. I've been trying to stay "satisfied" with my Aeolus v2 over here for quite some time now, but it really looks like the Hobo really does fix the main qualms that I have with the Aeolus. Namely the dual post design in lieu of the 3 post.

Now I have to keep my "no personal holiday spending" budget on my mind every time I see your name so my 3 year old can get all the toys I've promised Santa would get her all year long lol.

I will say this: The hobo v3.1 is nicer than the aeolus v2 in just about every way..... Except for the vape (IMO).

Building the hobo is a bit easier due to the two post, same builds that aeolus can fit the hobo can fit too, the machining is a tad nicer, both are extremely leak resistant, the aeolus can be a real pain to get the reverse threaded deck on tightly and the hobo can be a real pain to get your top cap on if you have your coils as close to the airflow as possible.

They both vape very similar but I just prefer the aeolus v2 by just a hair; something about that top airflow with a competition cap running a < 0.16 ohm build utilizing stage heated fused claptons; it's hard to beat. I mean the hobo puts out nice flavor as well with similar builds but there's that 'something' about the aeolus; maybe it's the draw but it's just perfect for these kind of builds.

Now I can't say how the two perform with standard coils since the reason I bought both of them for those high power intricate builds.

P.S. My first build in the hobo was not very good; not sure if I had the coil positioned perfectly but so far, it seems like 'z-coils aka between-the-posts' build is not so great on this (I will have to try again some 22g wire instead of a staged fused clapton). Dual coils on the other hand are pretty nice (as stated above, close to the aeolus but not quite).

If I were you, I would't rush out to get the Hobo; I don't think it's gonna buy you too much (I mean it's worth the asking price but with you already owning an aeolus I don't see much of a point)

I saw your first build and I personally think it was too much for the hobo. No offense lol but that coil was a beast. Or it looked it at least. And if I can be frank with everyone I HATE the aeolus v2 with a passion. If I didn't get it at such an amazing price I would be ...... if I spent the asking price for it. Everything is just preference, that's all it really comes down too. Just cause I like something doesn't mean you will, but you might lol you never know. I would just ask yourself what it is you really want at the end of the day.

I totally agree, that coil was a beast. It was definitely overkill, or at least in that configuration. The build I have now is 36/3x28 dual fused clapton (all N80) and its doing way better. I think it's because the first coil I build was huge and didn't have direct airflow to it so it overheated a little bit (not enough to burn cotton but enough to mute flavor). Now I have the air holes closed off about half way, vaping at 84 watts and it's pretty nice.

Yeah it was one thing to read about what you built on here, but seeing the pic on instagram it hit me like yup it's probly too much for it. Maybe if it wasn't in the middle like that I bet it would of been a little better just ran in single coil air hole mode. I think every rda deserves more then a couple builds in it before I deem it "crap". But if it vapes and handles like poo and it's just a simple build then there's a problem lol.

The draw on the Aeolus v2 Pro is probably my favorite draw of any atty...that was my favorite part of that atty.

@HeiSINberg

You see what Nareg said about the Hobo? LOL. He loves it too!
I swear there one and the same. I'm pretty sure they work together cause the drip tip that comes with the NarDA is the same one that comes with the hobo 3.1 but in black.

Hmmmm....
Yeah that's what I said too lol. And I think all his work with ultem was hoberto. Not saying he made the stuff but maybe the material he got was from him. Not sure. But lately I've been wondering about the 2 companies.

I was actually waiting for you to comment, if anyone knew anything it would be you. If they ever did a collab on a product they would totally kill it! That's actually a good idea.
