I dunno, man. I am confident enough that they are authentic, but I would caution against buying it, simply because you'd then likely be stuck with it. It's not a lot of interest in the second-hand market for that atty, especially at retail.

I'd sooner put mine in your hands, let you mess with it and see if you do REALLY want it for the money they have it for (the same price it's been since 2014!). Hit me up if you want to revisit it without the risk.

Edit: that site has the Veritas, the Kennedy and the original Aeolus. Do they just round up hard-to-find RDAs? Hmmm . . . And some of their prices are absurd! The 454 v1 for $85?!?!?! I guess it's not as bad as vapordna and the price they have for the SOV 5K! LOL: Science of Vaping S.O.D 5k Cloud Chasing Edition . I'd be livid if I bought that and found out that the manufacturer was selling it for $50 cheaper. You can get it from SOV with the mod for $10 more.

I love that rendering. And you are right. That does look the a lot the same, but with a two-post. I have not seen either atty in person, but that airflow slot looks VERY similar to the Drifter.

Those sites clearly just never lower a price - even when the market rate for a device drops...a lot.
If they still have it a year later, it's gonna still have the "newest one out" pricing.
Unless they eventually give up and go "clearance" I guess...

Nope. I've been looking at it for awhile but never actually looked into it more. I just realized thoguh, the secondary cap doesn't have adjustable airflow (I think).

In other news of sub-$30 RDAs: I have been rockin' the Sapor lately by Wotofo ( ). hahaha. I might like high-end RDAs, but a good vape is a good vape. I am actually impressed with the Sapor, even though it looks lame. It does quite well with exotic coils--much better than many other RDAs I've tried that I see always with Claptons and the like. Hell, I don't really like using 'exotic' coils, but at least now I got an RDA that really does shine with them. This will be my beater atty.

Anyway, I got the 5K in a cart now. I am trippin!!!

Edit: DANG! That atty came out in 2014!!!!!!! No wonder it feels like we've seen it for a long time. We have!

Sapor has been my everyday carry for a few weeks. Braided coil style. Thing is dead nutz on.

Yeah lol but the 45$ is with the BF pin and the cloud cap as well. That's a deal in my opinion! Even the rda by itself is a steal. I passed up the nami when it was on sale and I wish I didn't, I'm not missing this one.

Yea Heis....I saw it in the new REO Lounge. Hope we like the thing. I may mount it on my copper vein inbound P67 even though I have a copper hopple derringer coming with it.

Hey my fellow RDA junkies!!!! After reading some of your thoughts I have decided to look into squonking and BF rdas. I was looking for dual 18650 squonk mods and could not find any!? Is this not a thing? Also what would be a good (hopefully affordable) squonk box to start with? Thanks for your input !!

Do you prefer mechs or regulated? The only dual 18650 squonker I can think of was made by Chowderhead and I don't think he makes them anymore. Also, are you wanting dual 18650s for power or battery life?

More so for battery life as I rarely go over 60 watts now. Its all about the flavor now for me. Don't get me wrong I like a nice thick vape and concerning mech or VV/VW I like both and use them each for different thingsv!!

I think you're going to have to settle for a single 18650, unfortunately. Unless someone else knows of a dual 18650 squonker that I haven't heard of (which is quite possible).

The cheapest and of reasonable quality regulated squonker I know of is the one made by Steam Crave. You can get it for $59.99. 60W, single 18650.

Next up would probably be one of the regulated squonkers from Svapiamo. They make a 3D printed mod using the same chip that's in the Evic VTC Mini. I think it can be had for under $150. I know a couple of people that frequent this thread have one so maybe they could give better details. Svapiamo also make mods using the SX350j chip but it will cost you more.

All the other regulated squonkers I know about are over $200.

Mech squonkers tend to be a lot more affordable but even then you're looking at $130ish+.

You may want to check out the M-vapes from UK. They make dual 18650 squonkers. All the reviews I have seen were very positive.
