What I personally like about RBAS is the flavor. It's like night and day compared to other premade coil tanks. Secondly, I like the fact I make my own coils and save quite a bit of money not having to buy premade coils. Thirdly I like that the coils I make last twice as long as store bought coils. And lastly I like that I can make them to the resistance I choose, and I love to tinker. All those things together is why I won't go back to traditional tanks. I also don't get gurgling or leaking with my rbas like traditional tanks. Hope this Helps.

so is it RDA or RBA?

RDA: Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer (no tank)
RBA: ReBuildable Atomizer (drippers or tanks)
RTA: Rebuildable Tank Atomizer
BF RDA: Bottom Feeding Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer

The BF RDA on a Reo is my preference. You'll probably see some of us in here - it's a popular mod, and cherished by its users. The best of rebuildable dripping with onboard juice storage.

havent tried the rebuildable tanks yet....are they better than the protanks and aerotanks?

Night and day difference for me. I get a much better vape. I can't go back to the others now. As an added bonus I never have to worry about running out of atomizers or cartos. A coil of kanthal and the wicking material of your choice is cheap and lasts a long time. Wish I hadn't been intimidated by it originally. The learning curve isn't bad at all and the results are great. Much easier than I thought it would be to build coils.

Kayfuns for out and about all day. RDA for evening vaping.

So i just started rebuilding my own coils for my protank 2 I watched the rip troopers vid and did from there I am running at about 1.3 ohms on my vv. I have it set at about 8.5 now my concern is that hit is pretty harsh. How to adjust my next coil to avoid that im using 28gauge Kantian and cotton wicking 18mg juice 40/60blend. Oh and I did about 10 or 11 wraps on a 1/16th drill bit. If I do less wraps would that help? Or do I need a different gauge kanthal?

Jamie, start your own thread so you can get multiple recommendations and this thread does not get hijacked.:)

^ Yep, ALL of this.

ive been building my own coils a while now for my stillare but hate dripping and driving...i might have to get a kayfun

If the Kayfun doesn't work out for you (don't know why it wouldn't, they're great.), you may want to try a genesis style RDA or a Magma. The magma has a large wick well that will hold a ml or two of juice.

I like both equally, and which one I use depends on the juice I'm vaping, and also where I'm at. If I have an expensive or hard to get juice, I don't want to drip through half the bottle in a day, so I will throw it in a tank and vape at lower wattage. I will also use a tank in more public places, to keep the vapor at a more "socially acceptable" level.

I've used them all...Clearo's, Genni's, Kayfuns, and drippers. There is no beating the flavor you get off of a dripper.

The only mods/drippers I run now are bottom fed RDAs on a Reo. With the dripper you get the best flavor and vapor production and with the Reo you get the hassle free vape like you would from a tank set up. Best of both worlds.
