Talking about Vodka - and I don't mean to re-use by imbibing it (or does my reputation preceed me? Hmm still have a little galliano left over, and some OJ...)
I am not sure what other non-food standard alcohol options I have in Oz, so I have tried soaking cartos in vodka overnight to dissolve/loosen any gunk or goo (don't you love my tech talk?) before soaking them/running them in water.

My past attempts at cleaning & drying cartos have been a sad saga of frustration & failure, however I will be trying again very soon. I use strong, menthol flavours, and notice that the vodka really smells afterwards. Can you re-use the alcohol for multiple batches of cartos, or is it better to use a fresh soak each time? Although using cheap vodka, it could work out quite expensive over time.

and now Im curious.
Mwaah hah haaah

WOW!!! Curosity killed the cat ...
Not this Katz :D

I generally have used it twice. To cut down on waste I like using things like empty prescription bottles (cleaned first of course) to minimize any waste. You'll have a new technique soon that will make all this stuff a thing of the past. :2cool:

:thumb: I didn't know it would help with the cleaning as well? Or won't I need to use vodka anymore if I can wash each time?
Still waiting for Morandir's cleaning solution recipe ... when he's ready to share (hint hint)

Vodka only if you are mixing flavors......and yes it does both! I will have some new videos up in a day or two, just had to get through the Christmas holidays and buy a new vid camera. My loving dog knocked over a large glass of water with her tail which promptly spilled over the vid camera....I love my dog.

As long as the Atomizer is clean and all the build up in the polyfill is completely gone a little flavor carryover (when refilling with the same flavor) is acceptable.

The toughest flavors to remove completely are Menthols and Cinnamon. Both of which require rinsing, spinning, and soaking in alcohol a few times if you want to put a completely different flavor into the cartos.

Cool, thanks Snow. I currently use only Wow Nuport & Wow Wowboy Peppermint, but as they have their own colour cartos, flavour carry-over isn't an issue.

Ms. Katz won't be until after the move. :)

Okay, I can be patient. I think....
