Off topic, but I recently mixed some 50/50 flavored but for some reason, even though I like flavored sweet juices, I couldn't stand vaping unflavored with the natural sweetness of the VG. For some reason it grossed me out.

I tried vape unflavoured once and it was grossing me also but only on the smell...I don't really like the smell of pg and vg I guess....it's not odorless as I thought...
I have some mixes that are almost unflavoured...just a little sooo u barely feel taste but it's not groossing me like the unflavoured...

Ikr it supposed to be odorless...but maybe was the vg PG brand that I was using then? I don't know....or maybe ok it's not you exale the smoke to her face sooo ok she don't mind unflavored maybe? While flavoured has strong smell ofc....
Now I think about it I will make some unflavored again to try....I like to be able to vape unflavored one fill once a while....hope it's not bad for me this time

Vape whatever works for you. Everyone has different tastes and smell...:thumb:

Years ago I used to run a setup until it started to taste noticeably off. With some setups that meant there was a whack of crud on the coils before I cleaned them. After learning about the increase of wire temperature that happens then and the likely negative affect that could have on my lungs, I changed my process.

The last few years I dry burn and rewick often enough so at most I only start to sense a very slight degradation in my vape and aim to do it before it gets there. I also replace wire more frequently and do not heat the wire too hot when dry burning.

Is there any reason why you should change your cotton before it starts tasting bad on an RTA/RDA, I'm sometimes just in a rewicking mood but I can't help but think the only reason for a rewick is taste alone
It's not that hard (compared to putting a new coil in) Cotton (and Rayon) are cheap... go for it.

I'm not sure I agree but nic has a taste/smell and harshness of it's own. When I switch favors (drop-in coils) I run unflavored through the tank and get no flavor (and that's 12 mg sometimes)

I had mixed without nicotine then to see how unflavoured is....
Now I think about it I was being pg and vg from a vape store and the brand was called "velvet" but when I used it I realised the container wasn't even sealed and the threads of the bottles we're bad...
And i didn't like that so now I buy from pharmacy on sealed container plus it's cheaper...
So maybe that vg and pg I had bought then maybe wasn't so pure lol or had draw odors from environment??
That's why I will mix again now some unflavoured nicless just to see how it is really vaping unflavoured :D

When I first started the 'wrap and wick' thing, I was doing both several times a month. The coil was probably far from shot, and the wick in it wasn't too bad either, I was just trying to practice the procedure. Now I'm doing the whole thing every other month or so, and only once or twice have I only re-wicked an existing coil. I vape mostly just my unflavored base, but I do have a few flavors that get added to that sometimes.

I usually go a week or so with my rda's, they are easy anyways. I just rip the whole thing out and start over, I've got plenty of round wire. I decided to try a .3 ohm clapton in one of my rda's yesterday that's around 55watts with a fresh battery and my 12mg juice was way too strong (heck of a cloud though), have to mix up something weaker to try. I'm usually vaping around an ohm.:)

    Wicks are switched out routinely.

No routine means everything is up in the air all the time and i don't know whether i'm coming or going.

So having a routine means not having to spend any time at all thinking about it. It keeps things simple.

Re - wicking is done when the tank dries up.

What u mean when tank dries up? Like one fill????

It's not the same without nic at all. Nic gives unflavored liquid a "bite".

Yeah, some liquids are like that; particularly those that are dark and sweet, or naturally extracted tobacco flavors. Some salt nics will also do nasty things to a coil and wick.

And they don't even have to be dark. I used to vape a strawberry eliquid from heartlanvapes. Just a simple, straight strawberry. It was pretty sweet but it actually was very light in color. I would say that it was the color of apple juice diluted with water, like 2/3rds water, 1/3rd apple juice.

It would kill my my factory coil heads (which is all I was using at the time) within 3 days. I had to stop vaping it as it was costing too much money. I ended up throwing away about half of the 4oz bottle. It was cheaper to do that than to keep changing the coil heads. I never liked it that much anyhow lol.
