Reaching my limits

OK....as you can see I've been a member for a while. Note that this is not a rant directed at ANY supplier or ANY specific product, merely me venting my spleen.

1. Something's up with the new equipment out there. Whether it be the tried and true penstyle atomizers going stone cold dead in a matter of a few days or batteries that don't hold a charge for more than an hour, something is funky in vape town.

2. I'm sorry but I will no longer be purchasing any more "new and improved" equipment from any supplier that "gives" the reviewer an advanced unit for evaluation purposes. I have not had good luck with these items and although I do not wish to besmirch anyone's reputation, these things just not have been what they have been hyped to be. "Something is afoot at the Circle K."

3 All I want is for the product to work. I don't want to be given the 3rd damn degree when an item I've purchased has gone belly up while I'm using it. Either replace it or tell me to piss off so I can find someone else who wants my money.

Suppliers: I have spend in the range of $2300 for equipment, carts and juice for three smokers in my house. So far the only thing I have been satisfied with is the delivery time, the quality of the juices and for the most part and up until recently, the customer service. Everything else has become one frustrating disappointment after another.

My advice to all you fine vendors out there: Start tightening the screws on your manufacturers/distributors/suppliers or whatever you call them and tell them to get back on the stick and make these things work. Many of you are in on this "phenomenon" at it's infancy and you are setting the standard. You have the buying power combined to make the manufacturers generate a durable product.

Spleen vented, rant mode disengaged. No offense intended but dammit all I want to do is vape my juice without a daily hassle.

Thank you and good night.

I can understand where you are coming from. There seems to be a wide difference in the performance of the same product from one user to the other. That is why I wanted to find several e-vapers in my neck of the woods so we could actually get together and compare notes face to face. I would also like to know how the quality of a product works after one month, two months, etc. I know my very limited experience with the physical product has not been nearly as good as I have seen from those who have provided reviews of my model.

get a screwdriver...you won't want for anything else..
jany dura failure rate = 63.27%
Screwdriver failure rate = > 1% est.

Agreed. I sold my Screwdriver due to lack of pen style adapters but have been in a world of regret since.

I have now ordered a new one, which is coming with the pen style adapter, and then that's it for me. I'll probably keep a couple of 901s around for the pub but I'm getting out of this infinite loop of throwing money at slick new gadgets that turn into big disappointments.

As far as "reaching my limits" go .. I have to agree .. I'm 'bout there .... I _thought_ I had done all the right things ... extra this, extra that, plenty of liquids ... yada, yada .. until every thing went to hell in a hand basket ... all within days of each other ... sooooo, now I sit looking a 3 USBs .. 1 dead, 2 on life support and fading fast, 3 dead atomizers .. tried cleaning, blowing, poking, praying over them, throwing them against a wall .. nada .. dead ...so no back ups left, of anything , okay fine .. let's order more .. ohhh no, no .. "out of stock', 'closed until ..... ", "not shipping until .... "
Just one question .... we havin fun yet ??

I have to ditto every single thing that you said, GEP. I know a lot of you suppliers out there are really cool people, and all, but the bottom line will always be the quality of the product you are selling. The suppliers have to exercise their right to demand a quality product from the manufacturers just like a customer has to exercise their right to get a quality product from the retailer. We have the money ready to spend, just give us something that is truly worth buying (SD excluded, Trog!).

Yes, yes, I know the SD is “the best”. So, I get a big battery with a switch that works, if the atomizer doesn’t crap out because of some gremlin living in the design.

Bribri: Shocked why? That I know about Bill and Ted or that I quoted them? I used to have that .wav file as my error message every time Windows 3.11 would blue screen. (I really got sick of hearing it after a while, but it was amusing.) But I’m not all that OLD!

I started with the penstyle, a $100 Njoy back in June of last year. I prefer the penstyles and up until recently I would argue that it is the most reliable of the designs. But the batch of stainless steel ones I’ve received in the last month are crap. PERIOD. They die in days. I have some black and some white ones from a while back that are still working great. This is not an issue of who I purchased them from. It’s an issue of who manufactured them.

Karen: I do stick with whom and what I know. The problem is they have no control over what they are receiving from their suppliers. And as they say: Poopie rolls downhill. (Here customer, catch!)

Ladycats, that’s exactly what I’m talking about! Poke this, wiggle that, jiggle this, prod that, hold your mouth like this, stand on left leg only facing north at 5pm GMT and inhale slowly over 3.7585654 seconds. WTH? I just want to vape.

Houdini: Is that a pic of the Elmer’s glue crap at the end of the cart that I referred to in another thread? If so, then yes. (If you’re just being cheeky….nice one. ;) )

(Removed by author,Jaaxx. See post #20 for mea culpa).

I realize they have limited life, I realize that they are not the same as firing up my Bic and drawing on the end to keep it lit. I’ve been using these now for 8 months and ALL I WANT them to do is WORK. I don’t care what color the LED is, what material the casing is made of, I want to VAPE!

And suppliers: I UNDERSTAND that you sell what you get. I UNDERSTAND how they work. So please don’t send me anymore suggestions on how to keep your product just a little while longer. I AM too old to keep jumping through the hoops and answering the specious questions and I’m running out of patience having to wait by the mailboxes (snail and email) for your responses and your products.

All I want is to vape in peace.

Thanks for playing everyone. As Lili Von Schtuup sang: I’m tired.

(Another ref for you, Bribri. Would it shock you to know that I’m a Mstie too? [#14121]).

*fixed invisible ink*:D I think...

Yvilla....no worries. As I stated in the opening of the thread, I'm just venting my spleen. None of the response in this thread agitated me any more than I was already agitated. I'm just snarky when I'm cranky. Also, my apologies, Jaaxx....that was a very sarcastic response and now that I've read it again, I feel bad for typing it. Please forgive me.

Oh! One more thing: As I was fixing the invisible type, I was puffing on that "marvel" called the Dura and the plug on the mouthpiece at the end popped off and almost choked me.

...I'm quitting while I'm ahead.
