@Straydonkey - I'd recommend that you get (4) 8oz. Amber Glass Boston Round Bottles with polycone Caps...to break down
each Liter of nicotine base that you get. You'll also need to get (2) 4oz. ones with polycone caps, but
not per Liter. You'll reuse those 2, each time you need to start using an 8oz. bottle from your freezer.
After letting it completely come to room temperature...split the 8oz. into the (2) 4oz. bottles. Then leave 1 of them out of the freezer to use as your "working bottle" and put the 2nd one
back in the freezer. Some people refrigerate their working bottle, while others don't. If you refrigerate it though, it also should come to room temp. before you open and use it each time...just like the one taken out of the freezer.
The reason for letting nic base come to room temperature
before removing the cap, is because if you don't...condensation will form in the bottle of nic base.
It's also a good idea to add a couple extra of each bottle size and 2-3 of each cap size to your initial order...just in case of future breakage or damage.
I recommend using
no larger than 8oz. bottles. This is because the more times you open and take some nic out of a bottle...the more times you're letting more oxygen into the bottle. (Heat, sunlight, and exposure to oxygen are the 3 enemies of nic base.) IF you use larger bottles (ie. 500mL or 1L amber glass Boston round ones)...you'll be opening those bottles
more frequently (than smaller ones), to take out enough for a smaller "working bottle". Therefore you're exposing the rest in the large bottle to an increasing amount of oxygen each time. Also, the larger the bottle of nic base...1) the longer it'll take for it to come to room temperature before you should remove the cap and 2) the more times you'll have to let it do that, to use all of a 500mL or 1L bottle.
