I actually made a list in a blog post. With prices. Heartlands in stock right now but were out of stock last week and were out of PG based nic until a couple days ago. Heartland is cheapest and shipping's free after $50.

I recommend Heartland PG if you can get it. I've also dealt with Liquid Nicotine Wholesalers too. Their prices are lower, but no free shipping.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Important to reiterate that although heartland is in stock right now, and they (and probably others) are shipping via USPS as of 2weeks ago, which gives a longer time to order, it's best to buy ASAP because I have seen stocks diminished to zero recently. For instance, right now Nude Nic doesn't have PG based nic in their Chroma line. Heartland was out until a couple days ago.

There actually may be a PG shortage for all I know, which makes it even more of a dire situation for last minute stockers.

It's gotten to the point where it's getting too late to shop around and make more informed decisions. That time is long gone.

They raised their prices then. They used to be cheaper. It's probably been recently too, since there's been such a high demand.

I think you're right. When I bough my first liters in 2019, I almost bought from LNW until I got to the shipping, which made them more expensive than heartland.

@Straydonkey - I'd recommend that you get (4) 8oz. Amber Glass Boston Round Bottles with polycone Caps...to break down each Liter of nicotine base that you get. You'll also need to get (2) 4oz. ones with polycone caps, but not per Liter. You'll reuse those 2, each time you need to start using an 8oz. bottle from your freezer. After letting it completely come to room temperature...split the 8oz. into the (2) 4oz. bottles. Then leave 1 of them out of the freezer to use as your "working bottle" and put the 2nd one back in the freezer. Some people refrigerate their working bottle, while others don't. If you refrigerate it though, it also should come to room temp. before you open and use it each time...just like the one taken out of the freezer.

The reason for letting nic base come to room temperature before removing the cap, is because if you don't...condensation will form in the bottle of nic base.

It's also a good idea to add a couple extra of each bottle size and 2-3 of each cap size to your initial order...just in case of future breakage or damage.

I recommend using no larger than 8oz. bottles. This is because the more times you open and take some nic out of a bottle...the more times you're letting more oxygen into the bottle. (Heat, sunlight, and exposure to oxygen are the 3 enemies of nic base.) IF you use larger bottles (ie. 500mL or 1L amber glass Boston round ones)...you'll be opening those bottles more frequently (than smaller ones), to take out enough for a smaller "working bottle". Therefore you're exposing the rest in the large bottle to an increasing amount of oxygen each time. Also, the larger the bottle of nic base...1) the longer it'll take for it to come to room temperature before you should remove the cap and 2) the more times you'll have to let it do that, to use all of a 500mL or 1L bottle.

This is how I mix, right down to the exact scale. I bought my last nic at Nude Nicotine and flavors, PG and VG at Bull City Flavors.

Get some smaller glass bottles so you don't have to constantly thaw and refreeze your nic. You'll want to keep your nic stored tight with a little head room at the top.

I truly appreciate the info. Seems like mixing is very complicated, I should have tried this a long time ago insted of now at the last minute, it's do or die at this point, or go out n spend $$$$$ trying to order as much juice as I can lol. I do not want to stop vaping. I have had my aortic valve replaced twice, and 3 heart attacks do to cigs and vaping has litteraly saved my .... My health has improved leaps n bounds since switching to vaping.

As said just get the nic now and when extra funds are available get a scale, few syringes, and flavors. Save and wash your commercial juice bottle for mixing. You can start collecting and saving recipes over at elr recipes now so you have a starting point on what flavors to buy at first. Create an account and I do recommend skimming to beginners section for navigating the site. There are some kind helpful people on the forum side. If freezer space is limited you can buy 250mg nic, that's what I use.

Forgot to mention on the resource page at elr if you scroll down you'll find a list of ongoing discount codes for various diy vendors. I would offer links but ecf forbids it. Don't ask why, it irritates retired

Not really complicated. Just new to you and being that time isn't on your side it seems overwhelming. I felt the same way in 2019.

Just focus on getting nicotine. When you get it, stick it in the freezer.

You can worry about getting glass bottles for long term storage later as you can buy them on Amazon or other sites.

I'm currently using nic that was kept in plastic for a couple weeks in my garage and then a week or so in the freezer before I decanted it into glass. It's just fine.

Wow, talk about making things complicated!!
I mix my base separate, and then add flavors when I fill 30ml bottles for daily use.
My formulas are simple (because that is what I like)

    For my base :
50ml of 100mg nic in PG
    150ml of PG
    200ml of VG
    -----------------------------------
    400ml of 50/50 PG/VG @ 12mg

    And that's a 4 month supply +/-

Which I just store in a Pint Kerr canning jar
And, all I needed for mixing is a Pyrex measuring cup.

Then I add flavoring to the 30ml bottles when I fill them
which means that the mixture ends up about 51/49 @ maybe 11.5mg
but, who cares ... I'm only mixing for myself, and I see no need to be so damn exact.

    add:
Only make it rocket science if that floats your boat.

You'll find what works for you. I use a scale daily...for cat food and pasta, for example (solids). I measure liquids by volume, using syringes and beakers. As others have shown, you can also measure by weight. Good recipes will give quantities in both weight and volume. Most component liquids have a weight slightly over 1g/ml, and that difference varies by substance. PG for example is 1.036 g/ml, ethanol is lighter, at 0.79 g/ml.
It was just burned into me long ago that you measure solids by weight and liquids by volume. Either way works, it's just a matter of preference. And for me, volume comes more natural and simple. To each their own.
