Ready to pull the trigger...but I have questions

First of all, this site is a GREAT resource. Almost too good. In fact it has added to my "paralysis by analysis" lol

So anyway, after countless hours of reading and watching vids, reviews etc, I'm ready to pull the trigger and buy my my first REAL ecig, and an assortment of juices, and start working on kicking the menthol analog habit.

So I think I've settled on the eGo-T. Was thinking I would opt for the 1000mah bats. I can live with the extra length for the added convenience of going all day without charging.

Aside from the tank kit, I was thinking of maybe buying the USB passthrough, for those long nights of Warcraft raids. And some extra 501 attys for dripping. Maybe some LR510s or maybe even the Cisco LR306 1.5s and driptips etc.

Is it OK to use the Cisco LR306 1.5s on the ego batteries? How about the 306s on the USB passthrough drawing off a PC's USB port? Don't want to fry a battery or a port, but I really like what I've read about dripping on the 1.5 ohm 306s.

Rather than pushing your batteries and internal electronics past what it was meant to endure with LR attys,
you could just get a cheap 5V pass thru, and try higher voltage vaping. It's an easy, cheap way to try it and
serves as a full backup for a power source.

Personally I would rather carry two smaller batteries (650 or 750 mah) during the day and switch it over once,
than find out my one battery (1100 mah) has developed some sort of problem and be stuck without any power. IMO

Between an ego battery, and 5V pass thru, a few adapters and you can try all sorts of attys, cartos, drip tips,
see what suits you. And that's before finding your favorite flavor. ;-)

I hesitate to buy the ego-T because It doesn't have a LR Atty option. If you think that its going to be strong enough for you then its probably your best bet. I only say that because you mention LR gear for the pasthrough. No clue about any of those juices but I'm betting their tasty.

If it were Me? I'd buy a Reo, and a LR atty. Bottom feeding with an overfill system just eliminates all of the issues that one develops with PV's and the batteries are like $6 bucks instead of $18. I wouldn't usually recommend a mod to a newb but in the end its about getting the job done and the Reo mods do that. Tough, dependable, I think hes giving a one year warranty with them. You just cant beat that even at around twice the price.

+1 REO is great. All mechanical, hand made, and all day vaping pleasure. I started with an eGo. Liked it really well with Boge 2ohm cartos to minimize the fuss, but I'd never spend the money to get a juice feeder for the eGo...it has inherent limitations. If you want a juice feeder, get a pv that is designed to be one.

Yeah the Reo looks like a quality unit. I'm just not ready for that kind of setup yet I think. Looks like it might be kind of a pain to switch juices etc. Maybe when I find my main goto juice. And folks are used to seeing me tootin' on an eCig. Hard enough to explain a cylindrical looking one, let alone a box type. I can see the rumors around the office now....hey I saw him hitting some kind of box type crackpipe out in the smoke hole the other day. lol

For now I'm looking for something more flexible. Something I can throw in my pocket and go. I'm a noob to this, so ya know the eGo may be all I need. At least to get me started. I'm sure as I get more into my preferences will change, and my lust for more vapor/flavor will grow. So I went with the eGo T for now, and will buy a passthrough and some attys to drip with.

I can already tell that half the fun is buying new gadgets and parts and pieces. Seems like it will appeal to my tinkering nature :)

Actually that is part of the resaon I DID go with it. Because even if the tank/feeding system doesn't work that great, and its limitations are bothersome to me, a newb, then I can still buy some Boge cartos, or some attys to drip with. In fact, I'm searching now to do just that. That way I can try attys/carts, cartos, and dripping all with the same batteries etc. SO basically I can try out multiple options and see what suits my lifestyle.

I'm sure I can find a suitable configuration to at least get me started :)

Wow...You HAVE been doing your homework! Good for you, W.O.W. huh? Yeah your gonna love vaping lol!
Welcome aboard!

Yeah I play WoW. Resto shammy's for the win!

I don't smoke analogs in my home, since I have children. So raid nights can be a pain. Run to the door to grab a few hits between wipes. Run back or catch a rez, buff up, rinse and repeat. lol

I do not recommend using a PT on a computer's USB port - some just get PT being flakey and a few have actually blown PC USB ports. Use a nice 2amp USB to AC adapter.

although I am currently vaping from my usb port as I write this, I totally concur. I have also read of people frying their computer using a PT while vaping... it's pretty rare though or we'd be hearing a lot more of it.
