I'm about to build on my new kayfun Lite+ and I have both cotton and some 2mm ReadyXWick. Cotton works fine, but I think I want to give this stuff a try and was hoping someone here had some experience with RXW and could give me some tips so I don't waste it (this stuff's a little pricey!). I'm hoping to build with just one coil and it's 2mm RXW. I've done a little research around the forum and got a little bit of info, but there isn't much out there that I can find.

Any tips or help is greatly appreciated!

OK, so I'm on my second hour of chain-vaping with the new wick, and so far, so good! Not as "in your face" as cotton, but it's very smooth and consistent. I used 30-gauge on a 5/64 drill bit with 10 wraps. Came out to 1.8 ohms. I only left about 1/2 inch of wick sticking out of both side and let the chimney push the ends toward the channels.

It was about my third puff before I realized that I should have taken a pic. Next time.

So, overall, I say thumbs up. Give it a try!

Awesome always good to have more options especially with the Kayfun. I found the Navy nest build on youtube a while back and I cant stop using that design.

Yeah, I love options! Not sure if the nest would work with this wick... it's pretty rigid. Only one way to find out!

In my kayfun I'll use either 100% organic unbleached cotton, or sterile cotton both wicks with a micro coil and both those work really well, same with my taifun. Both can be temperamental if not built exactly right. Kayfun being more temperamental. Let us know how ready wick works for you. What type of coil are you running?

+1 for cellucotton / rayon. Was using cotton in everything till I came across this stuff (Thanks ECF!!). For me the flavor is a bit better, it def wicks better, and I have had much less gunking when using very sweet liquids (high EM and Sucralose). Have no experience w/ ReadyWicks, but for the cost savings on top of great performance I will be sticking w/ Rayon for the time being.

Right now running 30ga X 9 or 10 wraps on a regular sized paperclip (app .76mm) in dual coil / double-barrel config @ .7ohms on KayFun Lite Plus V2 (nano mode). I had some wicking issues w/ longer wicks so I cut them down so they just touch the base of the deck as they come out of the coils. Wicks VERY good now; good for chain vaping and the flavor is AMAZING. YMMV but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

-Best of Luck-

Second day with the RXW in my kayfun, and so far, so good! Not a dry hit or gurgle. Every puff has been exactly the same... smooth, full and flavorful. Now to see how long they last... the experiment continues.

I've been making my own RXW using XC116 and properly heat treating / heat cleaning it. So far I've only had to use 3" over the last month and half in my Russian 91% (navy nest build). All you have to do is torch it clean again, and the wicks good to go for reuse.

Just ordered some cellucotton from Amazon... I smell another experiment!
