Maybe i'm at fault but i decided to place my first order for some Baker juice , i bought three to try and requested a small sample of Hawk Sauce but only if possible .

I got my order today and when i opened it i had my three bottles with a little note that said we only give a sample if your entire order is $15.00 or more , my total order before tax was three penny's shy so no sample.

For a first time orderer i was left with a bad taste in my mouth , yes i suppose $15.00 is required but three pennys shy , c,mon especially if your looking to make a good first impression .

I know many love them but you would think for a first time customer they could of taken three penny's out of the (give a penny take a penny cup) especially when attempting to win over a customer who plans on spending quite a bit once i find a juice supplier i like.

A big :nah: for first impressions since i was completely unaware that you even had to reach $15.00 , three stinkin penny's , nice job Baker.

3 pennies may be only three pennies, but thats not the point.if the cut offs 15 dollars its fifteen dollars.
a flavor shot in one of your bottles would have put you over.i have been ordering from them for a while and have
placed a couple of orders just below 15 and never considered the free sample.thats why i mostly try to get them over 15.
an extra iclear16 usually does the trick.
this probably a moot point any way.the discount is probably encoded into the billing software.

I understand where your coming from but i see it differently thats all , there's plenty of juice company's out there . If i was a regular buyer i would wholeheartedly agree but for a first timer no.

I had my vape gear stolen from my mailbox and i found out the supplier sent me a replacement anyway , i was a first time customer and that left a big impression, they now have a customer for life. They don't have a sign saying they replace stolen mail either.

Some companys go the extra mile and won't nitpick over three penny's for a new orderer , thats my experience anyway. If i liked the sample i may be a future customer but i won't get the chance to try it now and thats my decision .

They won't miss one customer anyway lol.

your right in that most companies wouldn't dicker over 3 cents.they would either say yes,or no.
you're the one dickering over three cent's.like i said the discount is most likely coded into the billing
software and only can be changed by a management type.
i'm glad that vendor replaced your gear.that was cool.there have been a couple of post's recently
where that has happened.then theres been a couple where it hasn't.
Que sera sera.

$15 is $15.. Your downing Mt Baker Vapor when it was 100% your fault... Wow...

No other company even gives out FREE bottles...

Ya dang straight i am , i think it's nitpicking even if it was my fault , and thats my opinion on it , you don't agree and thats a OK with me.

The smart move would of been , for future reference please be advised that you have to have $15.00 total not including shipping for a free sample.

It's a huge error on the vendors part if i'm honest, i know that it's $15 plus for the free sample and that it's probably hard coded into the checkout software but let's look at what's happened. The buyer has been left disappointed, he hasn't tried a new juice, he might not order from them again. Who's the real potential loser here? I know that it's either spend an extra 3 pence or let them off 3 pence but still, this has potential future sales loss written all over it. Buyers market, make your move.

I understand your frustration, but don't give up on them yet. You will have a hard time finding the same bang for your buck elsewhere. Most of my main staples have come from them. Will you be able to find better tasting juice elsewhere? Probably. Will you be able to find better tasting juice for under $8 per 30ml bottle with options for customizing pg/vg and the ability to add flavor shots for under $8? I don't know, but if you do let me know, lol.

Let me get this straight. You ordered some juice from a vendor, and asked for a free sample, not knowing you could get one if you spent 15.00. You did not find out about the free sample if 15.00 is spent until you received your order.

I do not know of any juice makers that give free samples just for asking. How can you be mad at a company for not granting your wish, and then letting you know how you can get free juice going forward.

I have never ordered from them, but I do know their juice is supper cheap.

The nerve of some people.

there is no error.the first thing you learn when you have a job where you deal upfront with customers
is the phrase the customer is always right is wrong.
it used to mean something.
The customer is always right - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
now day's its just an excuse for people to act like the donkey's behind that they are.
he could clearly have added a flavor shot and been ok,or ordered something else for that matter.
once he hits enter its done.the order cant be changed.thats another clearly stated policy
on mt. bakers sight.
personally i wouldn't want a customer that would have me violate not one,but 2 company policies.

Get real, there is a cutoff for a reason - so there's no hard feeling about who got what. If they give you a break, do they give the guy who came up 7 cents a break too? How about 9 cents? The guy who comes up 14 cents feels cheated b/c some guy 11 cents short got a sample and on and on...get the point? The $15 cutoff draws a very clear line in the sand that leaves no interpretation.

I order all my juice from Mt. Baker Vapor because I like their juice, it's so reasonably priced, and they ship very quickly. The free sample is just icing on the cake, and a very nice bonus that they don't have to offer, but they do.

E-commerce is the same as regular commerce. Buyers and sellers need to know the terms of service when they do business. Mt. Baker Vapor states their policy pretty clearly, and that is their policy. You can't run a successful business if you are second guessing yourself, and making exceptions all the time.

I'm a golden oldie, and old school in many ways as a result. Some folks today always feel that they are the exception to the rule, and that the rules should not apply to them. It's been my experience that people like that are setting themselves up for a lot of frustration and dissatisfaction in life.

I'd say the OP is the potential loser here. Mt Baker is an awesome vendor, fresh juice, great customer service, and incredibly low prices with a range of options. I can see why it'd be annoying to realize I' was .03 shy of a free 15 ml bottle, but to put it all on the vendor like they've done you wrong is a bit much. If you'd have just bought the hawk sauce you'd have gotten a free bottle of something else, so 5 15ml bottles for under $20.

That said, since it is pretty easy to come just shy of that 15 bucks I think Mt Baker would keep people happy with a pop-up at checkout. Something like 'did you know if you spend xx more you could get a free sample?'. Might keep random complaints like this one down anyway.

You said everything I would have said. Those who order from them should feel lucky they give a free 15 ml juice out even after ordering $15.00 worth of stuff. I have used other companies and they don't give nothing out not even a napkin to clean up your mess when ya spill the juice lol
