I have bought Nicotine and some flavorings from e-liquid Mart (NOT e-liquid Market). I have not taken advantage of their offer on e-liquid: 5 bottles 15ml each for $17.99, or 5 30ml bottles for $29.99, and you select the flavors and strenght. The flavorings they use are mainly Flavourart and Capella's. I bet their juice is good, at least price is hard to beat. I am into DIY but i am tempted to try their e-liquids, and i will!

That's ridiculous. I guess they are wound pretty tight. How many stores of any type wouldn't let that slide. 7/11, name a store. .03 to gain a customer. This sounds like a my way or the highway type. That's why I took the highway. Worst juice I have tasted since I started vaping. Cheap juice doesn't mean it's a good deal. I wonder what they would do if you were one penny short?

I think its silly. First, I'm sure you used a discount coupon which lowered your already cheap prices on the juices. Second, their policies are clearly on their site.

They get a high amount of volume. Their shipping department gets an automated notice of what to ship. If you order $15 or over it automatically puts a 15ml bottle on the order. You can't fault a company for an automated system in place that gets orders out extremely fast.

I understand you might be underwhelmed by not getting a freebie or a sample but I think its unfair to ask for more than other customers get. This company has exceptional customer service, rock bottom prices, always has coupons floating around, free shipping after a certain amount, and a free bottle of juice over $15 spent.

Anytime I order from any vendor I always research everything. I find out if there are coupons or discounts, then I check ECF for info on it. It's always best to be informed before purchasing about a company.

Next time order over $15 after discounts or order somewhere else. I make my own juice but I also order juice from several vendors because I like to try new juices. I've never had an issue with MBV. When I first started I ordered exclusively from them. I tried every juice they have. Some of the freebies I got turned out to be awesome. I knew I had to order over $15 after discounts or I wouldn't get a free bottle.

I've come to the conclusion you can't please everyone. Some people expect more and more. The company already does all it can to make customers happy. They have a cut off amount for a reason. Spending under $15 I would say puts them under on profit after paying employees and overhead. And imagine if they bent the rules for you, you'd come here and brag, then they'd have a flood of angry customers asking how you got a free bottle but they didn't. Policies are there for a reason.

$15 is $15.. Your downing Mt Baker Vapor when it was 100% your fault... Wow...

No other company even gives out FREE bottles...

That is 100% NOT true... plenty give out free bottles. I have had many. Some are free with every order (Think MFS), some are free 12ml with purchase of any three bottles (think Ethervapes)... So no, MBV is not the only one. Try again.

You said everything I would have said. Those who order from them should feel lucky they give a free 15 ml juice out even after ordering $15.00 worth of stuff. I have used other companies and they don't give nothing out not even a napkin to clean up your mess when ya spill the juice lol

Feel Lucky? LOL... Do you 'feel lucky' when you get sa mint on your pillow after paying for a room? LOL.. Really? YOU paid THEM.. And you feel lucky... LOL

Not true... I've been ordering ejuice regularly, twice a month since mid-Feb, from MyFreedomSmokes. Since about the end of March or so, they've been sending along a 3ml sample of something. It's 12mg so I can't vape much of it or it would make me sick, and some of the samples are flavors I LOATHE... blue raspberry went straight into the trash. But one or two of them have been real winners, which I wouldn't have known if they hadn't thrown in the free sample. No, I couldn't vape much of the 12mg Apricot, but it was tasty enough that I bought a small bottle of the 6mg Apricot on my last order, and it's just as good, and now I have some 6mg Apricot for evening, and 9mg apricot for daytime. Because they sent me free samples -- twice they sent Apricot, so I had enough to mix with some 6mg to make a decent amount of 9mg. There's no dollar amount required, and in fact they don't advertise the free samples at all -- I guess they only do that for loyal repeat customers, which I definitely am.

Andria
I got a Blood Orange on my very first order.. so they always do it. My last order from them I got a 12ml bottle AND 2 3ml... :)

Let me get this straight. You ordered some juice from a vendor, and asked for a free sample, not knowing you could get one if you spent 15.00. You did not find out about the free sample if 15.00 is spent until you received your order.

I do not know of any juice makers that give free samples just for asking. How can you be mad at a company for not granting your wish, and then letting you know how you can get free juice going forward.

I have never ordered from them, but I do know their juice is supper cheap.

The nerve of some people.
Um, just 'cause you never asked for a small sample, doesnt mean there are vendors who dont. In fact, MOST do.. you just haveta ask. Shoot, the other day I got a whole 10ml bottle for FREE with FREE shipping, and I didnt even ask for it to be free, just that I was wanting to try that flavor. Boom, in it came..

What's your opinion of Blue Moo? I ended up ordering Blueberry Muffin from Sweet-Vapes, but I looked intensely at Blue Moo for a while.

Andria

EDIT: It's so weird... I've vaped just this Virginia tobacco flavor almost exclusively since I started vaping in Feb, but now that I've discovered Blueberry Muffin... sometimes when I take a puff of the Virginia, I wonder where the flavor is! I feel like I'm being unfaithful to my "steady"!

It's good. It needs about 12 days of steep time to reach its peak though.

The best ejuice I've tried from MBV was vanilla butternut. I got it as a freebie. Not something I'd normally order but wow, very tasty.

Ya dang straight i am , i think it's nitpicking even if it was my fault , and thats my opinion on it , you don't agree and thats a OK with me.

The smart move would of been , for future reference please be advised that you have to have $15.00 total not including shipping for a free sample.
It is clearly stated that it's 15 before tax and shipping and if you use a 10% off code it has to be above 15 after that too. They have GREAT customer service and having the free bottle every time you order over $15 no other company does that. They already go above and beyond. It's people who feel they are entitled to everything and expect the world that screw up cool stuff like this for people that understand rules are rules are follow them or shut it. Every time I order from them I ensure I'm over $15 to get a free bottle and when I've had really big orders I've gotten 2 bottles for free as have others. As others have said yeah 3 cents now next time it's 25 cents then a dollar then 2 then 3. you have to draw a line you clearly knew the line so deal with it and know you failed at doing it to get a free bottle it's not a smaller bottle it's a full 15ml bottle that a $5-6 bottle they give you for free that they don't have to do but they do it for everyone not just on your first order but on any order not matter how many times you order just as you can use a 10% off coupon every time too and they are ok with that. They are also quick about processing your order and quick to respond if you have a problem with your order. Like me I had gotten the right flavor but the wrong PG VG ratio they send me a replacement bottle out the same day and said keep the wrong one and it was a bigger bottle. most places will ask you to send back the wrong item when they send you out a replacement they don't.

I think you're all missing what he was getting at....lol

He was only asking for a small sample. of a hawksauce. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't know about the 15.00 spending to get a 15ml bottle of free juice. Heck I didn't even know about it the first time I ordered from them.

I usally just order one 30ml bottle at a time with vendors and when I first started vaping, I would always put in the comment box asking if possible to get a small sample...

I know back in 2010 when I attempted to vape, there was one company who put the 5ml samples in with my 30ml bottle, and to this day they still do.

I understand what you and others are saying. And when a vendor has that type of policy in place I for one do appreciate it. But there are different business models, all of which have a cost and benefit. That's not the model MBV has chosen, and trying to combine the two could be disastrous for the qualities that have gained them such a massive following worldwide.

First, they don't stock or offer 'small sample' 3ml or 5ml size bottles. Not to retail customers, not to wholesale customers, not even in their DIY section. So just buying the bottles themselves to handle the volume of requests at their scale means additional overhead in terms of both stock and storage space.

Then it's pretty obvious that in order to fill the volume of orders they do at the speed they're famous for, there is an automated system in place. Reprogramming and testing is a cost. Retraining employees for a new system and work flow is a cost. Rearranging workspaces to accommodate altered work flow efficiently is a cost. Paying someone to handle the extra labor of filling those 'small samples' is a cost. How much overhead should they add so people who don't want to spend $15 can get a freebie? And since no freebie is actually free, who's going to pay for it?

Smaller operations operating on a different scale, margin and schedule have more flexibility. They don't have to rely so much on having an automated and streamlined system in place and a "toss in a small sample" policy is much more likely to be workable.

That doesn't take into account dealing with the public in general, a certain small but noticeable percentage of which is guaranteed to be ALWAYS out to haughtily demand a mile for any inch given. You might be amazed at the labor hours (days, weeks) expended by CS over people who call, email bomb and spread negative PR all over the internet over things like a company not honoring a bogus homemade coupon. That type of person is why we can't have nice things, because they make sure no good deed goes unpunished. But that's a whole other issue. :screwy:

Just a few points to think about.

Edited for clarity.

a little note.... mmm... yeah, I'm with the OP... I'd be disappointed too...

+1

Why the company is "wrong" is because this thread is creating word of mouth advertising of the not so good kind. Even without this thread, OP would've got that message out. I understand OP's message to be for first time orders, which is huge difference than expectation on every order from same company.

Even with what OP has written, I'd still consider placing order from MBV. I'm yet to do so, because I go with company similar to MBV and one that gives free samples periodically for reasons I can't quite figure out, but is always nice when they add in the sample. MBV buyers (here on ECF) always seem cult-like to me. Any criticism is taken like you attacked a family member, prepare to be lambasted. Way too many vendors around right now, and some equal (in value/quality) to MBV. This whole discussion is to me as tick tacky as vendor being .3 ml short on an order and a customer demanding things that technically would be right to do, but most other consumers would be scratching their head saying, really? It was just .03 off and you are denying what would've made for smooth transaction? Really?

Someone who gets it . For a new customer a good will gesture would of helped, this decision will probably cost them hundreds over the years if i was to continue buying from them , very very stupid move over three cents, especially for an unfamiliar and somewhat confused first time customer.

I said IF i can get a free sample i would like to try Hawk sauce .

I couldn't agree more , thats a BS motto for sure BUT if you don't live by it management will be on your ... saying live by it , the reason that BS motto even exists is to prevent the loss of a customer at any cost, period.

Employess and management suck it up and are supposed to put up with all types of customers regardless of who's right or wrong . You didn't think that motto was meant to be true did you lol, i certainly hope not but all businesses follow it.

No you don't make a habit out of it , i bet it's very rarely an issue actually , but when you have the chance to make an impression on a potential customer you do not quibble over three cents , thats a NO BRAINER . How does the next customer know the one before him got a break on three pennies, he doesn't.

It's a judgement call , who has more to lose , Baker will lose a hell of a lot more than i will as i have plenty of B&M's down the street from me. When you weigh the advantages against the potential disadvantages most SMART vendors would want to lock down a potential long time customer than cut out a free sample over three cents.

Where do you come off with the above stuff , i said i was disappointed when Baker cut off a sample over three pennies instead of attempting to lock down a future customer.

Imo it's a very poor business decision, and it is by the way and i don't care who agrees or doesn't agree , it's a unwise move, period.

I happen to be very satisfied with life , i work hard and never think i'm entitled to anything so please be more careful with your words , i said i was disappointed thats all , others have said they would be as well , do your words apply to them.
i don't think mt. baker has to worry.i'll just order more stuff from them.

check groupon before your next order regards
mike
