I wanted to ask a specific question in the proper forum but I have to make 5 posts here first, Really!!!, 5 post's. I can understand making 1 post here as an additional anti spam measure to the e mail verification.
I'll find another forum.

Aww, I hated it too (see my low post count?) but I understand why they do it. I hope you do come back. At least come back and ask what you wanted to know.

Good Luck finding a better forum Jasen! This is the most active e-cigg forum around which is why there are anti-spam measures. It's really not asking much anyways. If you had to post 50 comments before being allowed elsewhere then I could understand... But... 5? That's nothing. I easily do that per day.

I was actually glad to see the very reasonable anti-spam measures in place. I was a moderator for part of another forum with no anti-spam measures for a month before spam smacking drove me half insane and I handed back the responsibility.

I'm new too. Now I only have four more posts to go. And really, I'm surprised this is the first largish forum you've signed up for that has a policy like this. It's not that uncommon.

Was the first place I've ran into something like this and I have been on the net a long long time... But I like it. Between the policy and the moderators seems like it does a good job of keeping away spammers.

Was a little confusing at first only cause I am one of those person who wants an answer right away and doesn't want to wait. But when confusion gives way to understanding

Its also an anti-troll measure...makes it a little more involved for those who want to sign up just to flame a vendor or member...or a forum for that matter.

Its actually pretty funny to get bent about it...I come in here to see if I can answer/help and looking at the responses I see plenty of seasoned pro's too. Its actually easier than having to dig out the right thread...

Personally, if someone is that upset over having to post 5 times to get into the other forums, I'm glad to see that their post count is still at one. Would be even happier if they'd skipped that one and moved on without having to say, "I'm going home, and I'm taking my ball with me. So there! "
