A year to 2 or so ago we were all freaking out like the doomsday preppers of survival are now. I think the scare in vapings is over. vaping is here to stay.

The only big remaining issue is handling of juice. The stuff is messy.

I don't think the e-cig is going anywhere. Although we might not be able to vape anywhere. But now stealth vaping has arrived so that should not be a problem. So I am not stockpiling anymore.

If the government does get involved we will probably see an explosion of pre-filled replacement tops or tank drop in refills, like they used to have with inkjet printers cartridges.

I am amazed at the drop in unflavored nicotine juice costs and just found a great site in Florida: Wizard Labs. Has anyone tried them?

I have Nic Juice from when I was stockpiling 500 ml bottles that have not expired and have turned dark yellow/orange and taste like crap. I'm going to dump the stuff.

I may give even give up D.I.Y. now that pre-made juice has dropped so much in price.

Now it seems like everyday a new rebuildable system is coming to market. I don't know why they call them rebuildable atomizers when they have fancy tanks that hold milliliters of juice like cartomizer/wick designs.

They really seem like cartomizer tank systems to me and since the cartomizer tank is so much more cost efficient and and can be upgraded by screwing on a new wick and coil head for $2-3, it seems better for me at least.

Recoiling and wicking is a lot of work to save 50 cents on a replacement head with preset resistence like the nova line.

Using RBA's isn't about saving money. Tho I can tell you I save a hellva of a lot more than 50 cents a week.

A good wick and coil in a genesis atty, can last a month or longer, can just easily change flavors without all the hassle you get with a carto. Even when you change the coil most of the time the wick is still good.

The reason so many of us love genesis attys tho is the flavor and vapor from them is awesome, and you will never match it with a carto tank.

Rebuildables and Gennies are an alternative, but that's all they are. The vape a person will like is way to subjective to say they are "better".
The atty that I'm using is well over a year old, and it cost $6. So just how much money would I be saving?

The few vendor juices that I do enjoy haven't dropped in price since I started vaping. Considering that the juice that I do DIY cost me abt 5 cents per ML to make I won't be dropping DIY anytime in my future. Sorry to hear that your unflavored nic juice hasnt held up well for you over time. Mine is still doing very well although I always planned that if not used and I was still able to I would replace with newer nic over time but thus far I've not done that.

Getting into RA's for me was about having good reliable attys that I could continue to use for a long long time The cost of rebuilding coils is extremely cheap and I suspect that even my high cost RA attys would over their lifetime save me money if I choose to look at them that way. There is no doubt my cheap RA's were money savers over carto tanks and cartos the day I bought them. I paid less for the RA then I paid for a carto tank. There certainly is a learning curve to rebuilding attys but I found that fairly simple and well worth the time invested.

The FDA hasn't gone anywhere. They are still fully capable of turning our ecig world upside down. Until we see their deeming order and proposed regulations we can only hope for the best and prepare for the worse. And most importantly while we wait we can educate those uneducated about ecigs and fight against those that spread lies and half truths about our ecigs.

takes about 15-20 minutes after some practice, not everyone goes all out and gets so detailed i have my wick rolled and oxidised in about 10 minutes. maybe 5 or 10 more for the coil.

i just bought a roll of the wire i use was around 20 feet for like 6 bucks and the screen i use, 8 dollars got me well into a years worth.

Dont knock it till you try it i can sit here till im blue in the face and you will never understand the difference in flavor and nic hit. the RBA's really does something different to the nic, and you feel it like a buzz if you dont slow down.

I can fill my nova mini and freight train it like Pbusardo does in his video's all day and be fine. that same exact juice in my cobra and i gotta sit down if i try that my head starts spinning, it's awesome! going to the RBA actually made me lower my nic just so i CAN keep chain vaping fpr the flavor.
after using one for a while now the vivi has zero flavor, none its warm vapor now, you think it tastes good now? try a geni.

I recently bought a DID clone and quite like it. It takes a little getting used to but the vape tastes much better to me on SS wicks. I'm mainly using my eroll as I like the cigalikes, but I do fear the FDA cracking down and making it difficult to get replacement parts and/or juice.

I see the rebuildables as an insurance policy against that and take comfort in the fact I could go 100 percent DIY if I have to. Fortunately the vaping community is a motivated one. I intend to become a supporting member of this forum and join some of the groups I've seen mentioned on this site after the holiday season when finances aren't as tight.

I didn't get into rebuildables to save money. I never really gave the economics of it much thought, actually. I build and use them because I enjoy it. I also enjoy making all of my own juice. Maybe it's the "pioneer spirit" in me; I dunno. There's something about creating my own products, that gives me a good feeling. When I used CE2s, for well over a year, I enjoyed cleaning and restoring them, for no other reason than to see how long I could make them last. Not for financial reasons, but for personal enjoyment.

It is highly recomended to store nic bases in glass bottles in the freezer . They have at least a 2 year life span this way.

when i first started vaping all i heard was drink water drink water. i couldnt figure out why. vaping didnt make me dehydrated. i started to think i was naturally super hydrated (lol). the moment i tried an RBA, it clicked. the nic hit my throat and chest like a wallop. mouth instantly dry. not unbearable, but certainly noticable.
maybe some folks get that sensation from traditional attys, but for me: not so much.
so RBAs are clearly more efficient for that reason and for the nic delivery reason. my 18mg nic in my RBA hits harder (much harder) than my 24mg nic in a different system. honestly, the 18mg rba feels like what id imagine 30+mg to feel like in a traditional system.

I was on 24mg for 2+ years on traditional atomizers......through the course of my rebuildable learning I have had to cut back, firt to 20mg then 18 and now 16mg.
