rebuilding coils

With the variable wattage, the Vamo actually does MORE than the Provari -- P'vari is only variable voltage, so you have to keep track of what resistance coil you're using and adjust the voltage accordingly.

Andria

True, I should have made that more clear lol. Also the vamo has avg and rms modes, not sure if the provari does.

You don't say what battery you're using. Some batteries like the egos work best with 2ohms. At least that is what they say. If you rebuild a head in a tank system like the Vivi or Protank you need to use NR-R-NR wire. Its resistance wire with low/no resistance wire leads. Otherwise you may taste burnt rubber as it will burn the insulator. You can find that wire at Discount Vapors and fasttech. But others have it to.

I was using the mvp with the protank 2 and a store bought 2.2 ohm coil....I don't make my own YET lol. Switched it to the vision spinner still burnt taste and all, then I used my protank 1 with another 2.2 ohm coil in it and it works great on the spinner.....I get a better TH and its only set on 3.3 volts plus the bigger hole in the mouth piece is better for me I think more airflow. Dunno just started swapping stuff and it seems to work like this better

from what I hear tho rbas are the way to go, im sure your going to want to continue making them....and that one looks pretty cheaply made even from the picture lol, im sure you will be buying a nicer one in the future...I haven't even started yet and I know im going to be wanting a kayfun lite or a kayfun 3.1.......at least a clone

hmmm my thoughts on coil size

nano -- cant put wick inside it
micro -- can get cotton in it with a bit of work
macro -- dual 3mm silica falls into it

:)

I build micros, and they work great for me. Plus the cotton fluffs once you wet it. I've burnt and boiled my silica... Still don't like it

Actually my attempts at micro coils are done on either a 3/32 or 7/64 drill bit, so you can get lots of cotton inside very easily. Micro just means that the wraps are squashed together. I'm not quite there yet, gotta get some ceramic tipped tweezers, but I'm getting close.

I use regular tweezers. Well, they are huge medical tweezers if it's on an rba I just heat then squeeze. Or I squeeze then torch. Kanthal is easily manipulated so you may not need ceramic tweezers.
