Rebuilding Kanger Protank 2

Hello, so i'm a new member here, and well since i have to make 5 posts in order to move away from the new members forum i decided to write a post about something i have already done. I usually rebuild my protanks with 28 gauge kanthal, between 9 and 11 wraps. this usually gives me a reading of 1.35 to 1.60.
Anyone's got any new ways, or any ideas on how to rebuild it another way and still get around the same ohms?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

Coiling Calculator

Here are a few links for you regarding building coils and getting the resistance just where you want it:
1. Steam Engine
2. Coil Toy Calculator

Make sure to check your build with an ohm reader or DMM before putting it on your mod and firing it.

The Steam Engine is much more than just a coil calculator. I consider it my "All in One" vaping calculator.

For PT coils (PT II, Mini, Evods) I use a 1/16" drill bit which fits nicely in the slots for holding the coil in place while I fiddle with getting the legs hooked in. I usually use 32ga because it heats up faster...just my preference. 5 tight wraps usually gets me the 1.8-2.0 ohms I'm aiming for. With 30ga I need a couple of more wraps.

Thanks the steam engine calculator is really heplfull, but more than how to wrap im looking for ideas on where to wrap it around and the shapes i could use

you can try wrapping a vertical coil with the air coming up through the middle of the coil, and pack the cotton around it;
