30 gauge kanthal has a resistance of about 8.3 ohms / ft. So you're going to want a total of just under 3" of wire, including the leads between the coil and the posts.
In theory, you should get the following fractions of an ohm / turn on using these common drill-bit sizes:
1/16" -- 0.1666
5/64" -- 0.2025
3/32" -- 0.2383
But again, don't forget about the length of the leads between the coil and the posts, you need to add another 0.0274 ohms per mm of lead length.
