Did you get the PCC (either one)? If so, the manual batteries may not work with it. They were having an issue with them having too many threads and not making good contact with the PCC so that it acts flaky and does not charge the batts. Beyond that, the manuals are far better than the autos.
You MUST keep the batts clean. To clean them, use a toothpick to dredge out any gunk around the center pin and to clean out the air holes. Then place them upside-down in about 1/4" of pure grain alcohol (everclear et al) for about 10 minutes, shake out, then blow out...wipe dry and good to go. If you don't clean them, they will stop charging properly and you'll think they've gone bad on you.
Oh, don't do the alcohol part on the auto batteries...they're not totally sealed and you can crap out the switch.

. But really, it takes our body time to adjust to vapor just as it took time for it to adjust to cigarette smoke. Beginning vapors often complain of harshness, unexpected coughing, sore throat, dry mouth, etc. Often this goes away after a week or two.
