Ever since I've got my 2nd fraudulant charges in 2 years on my cc that I use for ecig related stuff only. I buy all ecig related stuff using one CC and buy nothing else on that CC. I check almost every day the activity on that CC. If I see anything suspicious I notify the CC company and resolve the charges. I've done this for the past 3 months, I haven't lost a penny with the fraud, my cc company has covered me on both instances, cancelled the old card and gave me a new card. I do have fraud insurance on the card though that costs me $3/month but it's worth it. I use Paypal whenever I can, mostly for generic hardware (batteries etc) here in the USA. I use Paypal when buying ecig stuff oversees (ecig hardware and eliquid). I have found myself buying ecig related stuff more often overseas, since they almost always accept Paypal oversees.

You don't need the fraud insurance. Honestly.

Me too, i just woke up today to a $650USD charge from some store called "VIKING". I ordered last week from BackWoodsBrew, AltSmoke, Wizard Labs and AvidVaper. Good thing my bank accepted the dispute and are removing the charge.

This is the first time this happens to me in 5 years+ of making (a lot of) purchases online (like, A LOT!!!).

Cardholder liability

In the US, federal law limits the liability of card holders to $50 in the event of theft of the actual credit card, regardless of the amount charged on the card, if reported within 60 days of receiving the statement.[16] In practice many issuers will waive this small payment and simply remove the fraudulent charges from the customer's account if the customer signs an affidavit confirming that the charges are indeed fraudulent. If the physical card is not lost or stolen, but rather just the credit card account number itself is stolen, then Federal Law guarantees card holders have zero liability to the credit card issuer.[17]

From wikipedia, but it is the law........

My virtual CC will allow more than one use, but only from the same supplier.

I have a virtual CC # I use with my local pizza place. I set it up for 12 months at a time and use it once a month for my favorite pizza. At the end of the 12 months I cancel the number and create another one for the next 12 months. It can't be used anywhere else, though.

Hey guys, just a heads up. I was the victim of Online Credit Card Fraud from an online transaction this weekend. Luckily, I didn't have the amount of money that someone in Slovakia wanted to steal from me, so my bank declined it and cancelled my card. The only companies I ordered from were RAWR and Backwoods Brew last weekend, and Litecig and RTS Vapes this weekend. So if you ordered from any of these companies recently, Keep an eye out. I think I heard something about RAWR having trouble, but I figured I'd list all of my transactions. You know, as civil duty?

Seriously? Slovakia?! Were they funding a hockey team on my card?!

Wow! The same thing happened to me but had no idea it may have come from ordering from my juice supplier. I was just looking around to figure out why AVE is closed. Dang it!!
I got taken for about fourty bucks from some company called zoosk. But now I am thinking my number was compromised when I ordered from BWB.

I had a problem that I just noticed this weekend with my discover card...a charge for gentlemen's vapes on the same day I ordered from BWB. I didn't recognize the company and so googled them. they make atomizers for an illegal substance that I'm not allowed to mention here...definitely not something I've purchased. I emailed the company and have not heard back from them. had my CC cancelled.

I am beyond angry right now. Just ordered again from BWB this morning with my husbands card because mine was closed from fraud Friday. Now I have to worry about another card. FRIG!!

Bear in mind this is likely the fault of one of the card companies or the processor. None of the ecig companies i have ever bought from store CC numbers. They never even actually touch them. It goes from you to the processor via the ssl gateway. Unless their store dosent have SSL which should always be something checked before entering CC info.
