I suspect the "products" will get better in the future. And for some, everything seems to go pretty well (me for example). But given where this product is in it's life cycle, I think it's doing about as well as I would expect, and when it isn't, it helps to have good customer service.
A year from now, that will be a different story. I expect a much better out-of-the-box experience. I know that no one wants to
buy something that doesn't work, but it happens even today with consumer products by reputable companies. And many times customer service in those cases is horrible. They almost make you feel like your a criminal sometimes because you want something for your money.
As to the guarantee durations, my suspicion is, the durations were "gambles" or a "marketing approach" expected/planned to draw customers. For some, it may pay off.
njoy doesn't appear to be vanishing even with their higher pricing model, and (sorry...) SAME HARDWARE as everyone else. In the case of the (I think) Sedansa (5-year), I suspect that is going to significantly hurt their bottom line in the long run. But again, New business...you gamble. Some win, Some lose. Who knows, maybe the next wave of hardware will be long term and sustainable?
OK, I think I sprained a finger, so I will end this here. But thanks everyone for your insights/thoughts/opinions. I like this free flowing concept and find it educational and entertaining.
