Recommend your favorite Cartomizer and why

Hello folks,

My Elite 808 should be coming in the mail today or tomorrow and I cant wait. What I would like to ask you experienced users is, which cartomizers do you prefer and why.

I believe that there will be 5 empty elite cartomizers coming with my kit, also with the kit is a 5ml bottle of RY4. This morning I ordered a variety of juices from gourmet vapor due to their 50% off sale which is ending today.

I assume that I will be needing some empty cartomizer (prefilled will do too, I am not opposed to that) soon. which ones should I consider? This will be my first vapping experience so I do not have any prior experience.

I have searched and the found a few recommendations but I would like a more focused thread that could hopefully develop into a nice resource for others looking for the same thing.

The horisontal coil from Kanger.... Better TH than the bloog/smokeless etc and not so fussy with drying.. Never tastes like dishrags..

The Elite cartos are very very good. 2ml of fun and frivolity. Using any other carto will be a strange lateral move. You've just purchased the Top Of The Line 808 e-cig. Use the Elite Carto and you'll never want to go back!

When The Elite arrived I was really impressed. Go-go performance in a smaller package. And the Go-go Pro is almost too cool for words. After 6 months of Go-going ... I finally figured out the best way to refill Go-carts and Elite cartomizers (or any other type of carto).

When my Go-go first arrived in February it came with prefilled Go-carts. The first hit was phenomenal. In fact every time I use a prefilled Go-cart I am impressed with just how good it is. I've also used the blank Go-carts but never achieved the perfection of the Taste, TH, and vapor of a prefilled carto. But ... 95% perfect is still pretty dang close. But still I wondered ... why does a prefilled carto seem discernibly better than a carto that I've filled with my favorite juice?

Frank @ CigEasy cut through my confusion withe the simple observation that a prefilled cart has been sitting around for awhile. The filler material and coil have been bathed in e-liquid for waaaaay longer than the cartos I fill. So ...

I changed my routine. Whenever it's time to top off ... I top fill with a syringe until the filler material can't absorb anymore e-liquid, and then pick a carto that I've topped off from the day before and use that one until it needs topping off.

I have 3 cartos in rotation and I'm always using a carto that has been sitting for at least a day. The difference in using a cartomizer that's been absorbing e-liquid for 24 hours is pretty amazing.

Bobalex, thank you for your input and the tip. I really like the elite carto because they hold 2ml and of course, they look great and match the battery so well. Since this is my very first set up, i just wanted to get a feel for what other people like to use. You could very well be right in that the elite cartos are the best matched for me.

Ikenvape.com's mega kr808d-1 in either resistance. Awesome vapor, flavor, and TH. Plus Iken's seem to last forever even with multiple cleanings. If I still used 808's, these are what I would still be using.

New 808 CE2 deluxe clear's from Gotvapes! Amazing! And none of the previous tube issues. I used these for the last two days.I even kept one on my battery in my pocket last night and was able to pull it out without the tube coming off. Chris has helped make an enormous improvement on these. I hope you all will give em a shot.

I like the Wow blank cartomizers from V4L (vapor4life.com). They always have some kind of discount running - sign up on their website and you will get the specials emailed to you. They are a good price and they can be refilled many times. I use one for about 3 weeks or more and toss it because it cosmetically looks bad, but it is still working and soaking up liquid. I prefer the 1 ml cartomizers because I like to change flavors a lot. I haven't ever tried the Elite cartomizers, but have tried other 2 ml cartomizers and still prefer the 1 ml unless I am stuck on a certain flavor like Wow Caramel Apple or Wow French Vanilla Ice Cream alone or with Orange Juice mixed in for a Creamsicle!

I have been wanting to try the clear, but yours is the first review I have seen without problems with them. I will try the GotVapes ones when I need more - do you have to fill them with a syringe?

Not if you take out the cup cap and replace with only the center seal but with the new blunt end for the syringes it's no problem. If you don't have a syringe let me know I have extra now that I don't have to fix the tubes. I'll send you one.

Actually, I fully agree with you about the Elite, e.g., see my review. And I also enjoy using the Elite cartos (with a 510-to-808/901 adapter) on my 3.2V eGo batteries: provides a milder vape that is good for some of my moods ... and juices.

The vapor production from the Ikenvape megas on the 808 is shockingly voluminous. They are so good that when using these, I have to use about half the nicotine concentration I would ordinarily use.

For the most part, because it's cheaper and works nearly as well, I use a 901 atty and cartridges on my 808d-1; but if I'm going somewhere where that would be inconvenient, I throw a prefilled Ikenvape Mega in my purse. Amazing vapor.

I bought 1 pack of 5 Elite 808 clearomizers that I've been using for about 3 days. I find them amazing. There is no leakage and I have yet to get a spurt of juice in my mouth. They may fail in the future but cleaning is very easy and the vapor will fill a room in no time at all. Still using the 808 battery so on a really good battery they would probably be even "gooder".

I've had an Elite for a couple of weeks now. The cartos that came with it are great in performance and looks as well. My all day PV is Volt and their cartos work well on the Elite but alter the profile for the worse. Reason I got it is cause it's purdy. They sent me one clear carto as well, a freebe I guess, and it's the first clear carto I've tried that I haven't had issues with. I wanted to try their RY4 but didn't see the part about selecting the juice that comes with the kit and wound up with 555, which I am not a fan of. The way the cartos are lasting it's going to be a while before I need more so guess I'm not going to get to try the RY4 for a long time. Anybody else like theirs?

I got a sample carto of RY4 with the clearos. It was 16mg which is way above my vaping level. It was awful.

I agree... The Elite cartos are INCREDIBLE. I've been through many PVs & Mods in the past year, and I haven't come across much lately which has wow'ed me like the Elite 808 & Elite cartos..

EDIT: The Elite cartos are VERY well made. Kinda reminds me of a .38 Special shell casing. I would like to see some drip tips made available for them.
