Alright. My evic aio is dead. I'm looking for something to replace it but haven't really followed anything since I got it or really even before that. I need some recommendations. I don't have anything atm.

I liked my evic, but it only lasted about a year, and I'm not sure I really need anything like it exactly. I typically used the .05 coil and kept it pretty much right at 30w so being able to go to 75w seems excessive.

I guess I want an attractive, reasonably affordable mod, probably sub ohm. I would prefer a changeable battery but am not set on it, provided the included battery is high enough capacity. I would like a tank that matches if possible, or an all in one, with minimal leaking. I need the whole thing to be relatively durable. (Just needs to hold up to an occasional drop here and there nothing crazy) would like the coil heads to be fairly easy to find. I like the tc and vv/vw but it's more of a bonus than a necessity if I can find something that's set up right for me.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@hobbette - Eleaf Pico 75W mod (very popular one) can be bought separately for $22.40 + Free S/H at RockyMountainVapor with coupon code Turkey. They also carry it in the Kit with the color coordinated Melo III Tank with it. Coupon code can be used for everything on their website.

Or, you could get a SubTank Mini, TopTank Mini, Kayfun, or or a variety of other tanks to use with the Pico above. The STM and TTM both can use the Kanger OCC coils (0.5ohms, 1.2ohms, or 1.5ohms) and/or SSOCC coils (0.2ohms, 0.5ohms, 1.2ohms, and 1.5ohms). You can also use a little RBA in them instead of a factory coil...and you'd build the coils and wick them to use it. The KF has a build deck only, for coils you build and wick. It does not take factory made coils.

I'm sure others will be along shortly to add more options and recommendations for you, too.

I'd just go to vape.deals and see if there are any "AIOs" (all-in-ones) or "starter kits" (mod plus matching tank) on sale that have good reviews and are under $40 or so. It doesn't sound like you need anything to exotic or expensive. Most every regulated mod has both TC and vw these days.

@hobbette - IMO, I wouldn't base a purchase decision on online reviews from unknown posters. Lots of reviews are bogus ones, not by real people who've used the products. Many websites also provide compensation to people who post reviews for their products. So, which type of review do you think they'll then post...a good one or a bad one?

I'd personally wait and see what other specific set-ups members on here recommend to you, that may fit what you've said you're looking for. Those recommendations won't be compensated ones, nor from anonymous posters. Also, you can bet your bottom dollar they'll be truthful, too, about the good points and any bad points of specific mods and/or tanks! On here, you can also ask questions about the mods and tanks, if anything is unclear, or you're concerned about something on them...and get the answers to them! Sure can't do that just by reading online reviews to help you make a decision. Just my own 2 cents worth though.

Do these do anything for ya @hobbette?

The mods are Picos mentioned by @JCinFLA, Sturdy reliable mods with no nonsense K.I.S.S. type operating system. They do TC quite well with all the popular coil types. Very affordable The white tank is the Sub tank Mini also mentioned by JC. The silver tank is the eGo ONE Mega V1. My personal fave but scarce as hens teeth. However there are 4-5 different "styles" of this tank, with larger glass windows, more readily available. They all share the same rebuildable coil but at less than $8 dollars for a 5pk many folks just toss 'em as you would a standard disposable.

The mods are nicely sized an fit comfortably in the hand.

Oh my. I've been Vaping just short of 2 years and it has taken most of that time to find 2 *perfect for me* tanks. Naturally I'm extremely biased.
The Melo 3 Mini? I won my first Pico which came with Melo and I had no interest in it mostly due to small juice capacity. I sent it to a forum friend and she is absolutely thrilled with it as most folks are. Just ordered my 4th Pico and most likely she'll get that tank also.
The Cubis? Seriously? Have you experienced it? Are you one of the 3 folks on the planet who like it?
In all honesty I have never used a Cubis. I've won one. I still have it. I've read so much negative about it that I've never put a coil or a drop of juice in it. I did use the coils from it in an eGo AIO Box that I'd won. Gave that thing to another friend.

If you're curious about the eGo ONE "series" of tanks (one of which looks similar to a Cubis) here's a link to the dedicated thread. Very nice folks there happy to answer questions. They also know where to get great deals on them.

I haven't tried the cubis. It uses the same coils as the evic aio. I though It sounded like it pretty much was a built it cubis when I bought it. It either isn't really that similar or yes I'm one of the 3 people that like it cant say for sure! Lol I know I never had the flooding and spitting problems people talked about.

Yeah I think your right about the Evic AIO /Cubis connection. My eGo AIO Box was basically a tiny built in Cubis. I despised it but found it a loving home.
Fortunately my tank searching days are over. Have 7 of the EO Mega and will be getting more Subtanks.

You might want to check out the Pico 75W Mod Kit shown below, in Black & Bronze or White & Bronze. They come with the matching Melo III Mini Tank (2mL). They're on sale at EightVape for $39.99/kit + S/H. Very classy looking, IMO!

I have 1 of the Black/Bronze mods, but not this kit. Have other whole kits on order (in the reg. Pico colors), but they're not here yet.

Oooh JC, do you keep your Black/Bronze in a sleeve? That was my first Pico. If it hadn't been a freebie I'd be miffed. The finish is a scratch magnet and it seems to have some clear sealer over the black that bubbled and peeled away in 2 small spots? I keep telling people to stay away from them.
My newer 2 are the old standard finish. Tough as nails.

I too am a Pico fan, at just $25 (mod only) they're hard to beat. I have many other mods including some pricy, shiny mechs but the Pico is my daily driver. It's so small, lightweight and compact it's hard to believe an 18650 battery actually fits inside. A "new" 25mm version is coming out in June, I'll be getting one as soon as they're available for use with oversized attys. I also like the silver HCigar VT75 nano, it's a sleek, beautiful, compact mod with the same features/abilities as the Pico but it costs nearly three times as much and is slightly taller.

Sorry but I haven't had/used an atty that uses factory coil heads (clearomizer) since 2013 so can't really recommend any.

@Foggy Road - I bought it and put it in my "stash" for later. Haven't used it yet. I wonder if all the black/bronze and white/bronze will do that? Or if maybe yours has a defective finish? I'll be sure to remember that when I use it later!

Yeah that Very well could be the case. Mine might even be preproduction since I won it directly from an eleaf giveaway just before general release. But I've gotta go with my own experience.

@Str8vision - The regular Pico mods are still just $22.40 with Free S/H at RMV, with the code Turkey...if you want more for your stash while waiting for the ones that allow 25mm tanks.

That -is- a very good price, better than what I paid but I already have several Picos in storage. If I like the new 25mm version I'll buy several of those too since all of the new RDAs and RDTAs I have my eye on are 24 and 25mm.

Well , if you want something of better quality than what you had, yet still an all in one, that comes with a great tank ( big baby ) . Great flavor, vapor , and battery life for cheap, without having to buy a charger and batteries right off the bat.

I suggest this. One button and that's it.. I have 2 and they are awesome mods.. powers the big baby tank just fine, and I get just as much flavor on the stick, as I do my alien with a big baby on top

For the price the Eleaf iStick Pico is a deal and one that should be in every vaper's FDA apocalypse box of hardware. My black one has been dropped several times and has two tiny scratches on the side under the atomizer. You have to look close to see them and there's no dent, just a little scratched finish (paint or stain?). Pico uses one replaceable 18650 that's accessible with the screw cap on top next to the atomizer.

iSticks are pretty dang tough. I also have a 20W and a 40W TC iStick, but those have built-in batteries that charge through the USB port. Those are the ones I stick in my pocket when I'm riding the lawn tractor cutting grass in my yard. If I drop it and run over it, $20 will replace it.

My Wismec RX200S has seldom seen the outside sun. It's an indoor toy.
