Been vaping for about 5 months now and I want to move onto a mod pretty soon. My current setup is iclear30b on a smoktech winder 1300mah. What's everyone prefered mod or mods to steer clear of?

Like everything else your price range is a determining factor. Here are some suggestions

MVP 2.0
Innokin SVD
Sieglei Zmax V3 or V5
Vamo V5

There are threads for each one of these being brand specific. Look through them to find out the features of each. Also you will find sources for a good price.

I like the Sigelei Zmax V3. This is a telescopic tube mod. If you like the 1300 mAh battery you are using now the Sigelei V3 and V5 will use a removable 18490/18500 1100 mAh battery. It will also fit 18350 or 18650 batteries if you want to go bigger or smaller in battery capacity and mod length.

The Sigelei Zmax V2 is another good choice. This is a solid body mod that will run 18350 or 18650.

I don't think you can go wrong with these Sigeleis in the $40-60 price range. We have people checking in who have been using theirs for over a year.

For e-mod:
Vamo5 or anything more expensive + kayfun3.1/russian 91%

For Mech:
Nemesis + kick (vw)+ kayfun 3.1/russian91% My daily, most used device, because of its small size.

Mech+kick is a lot smaller that any powerful e-mod like svd, vtr, mvp, vamo, sigelei, sid etc..

For both setups you are gonna need 18xxx batteries, at least 2 or 3. Efest are cheap and good, also panasonic or sony for 18650 size and you are gonna need smart charger. Nitecore i4 is cheap and good!

btw If e-mod breaks you are screwed. :2c: If kick breaks, you can take it out and use mech without it and you can use mech for subohming :vapor:

If you can comfortably afford the Provari, get it. I love mine. I also have a Vamo 2 I use and like. I have the MVP2, VTR, and iTaste 3vv, all work great. I listed them in the order I use them most often.

This^^^^^ I also have a Provari and am more than pleased with it but there are many great mods out there. It all depends on what you want to spend.
