Hi everyone,

I purchased some 100ml nicotine from MFS. It is a great product, it looks like they use NicSelect as supplier. I was wondering what is your experience with other ECF vendors who retail pharma grade PG/VG? I'm looking to purchase a gallon of PG and a quart of VG as I vape 80/20. I need your advice because I'm not 100% sure those companies like Essential, Froggy etc. offer a true USP grade in their bottles. For those prices they advertise, it looks like more of Food grade contaminated products, which I will never inhale.

Thanks your useful advice!

The penalties for putting USP on a label if the contents are not can easily ruin a business.

So, you think that companies are putting their neck on the line of ruin for some DIY juice mixers?

If you are so un-trusting of the USP label, then your only recourse is to pay top $ and order it from a compounding pharmacy or buy the cheaper stuff, both are probably manufactured at same plant, and send it to a lab for analysis.

CVS has recently started carrying their VG without the USP label. Most likely indicates they are having it repackaged in a facility that does not meet USP standards to save a few bucks. Makes sense, most folks buying skin treatment don't really know what USP is, or see the value in paying for those three letters on the label.

If a company advertizes USP grade It's safe to vape. If you don't trust the labeling then that sounds like a personal problem. The penalties for a company to sell lower grade and try to pass it off as USP are sever and not worth the risk so I am quite sure you can buy the product with complete confidence. Expecially the companies you mentioned they are reputable and would not do that. Expecially essential I've used them for quite a while and the product is as advertized.

People say you get what you pay for, implying things with bargain prices are always inferior to expensive counterparts, but that is not always the case. In fact, lots of people buy more expensive products assuming they must be better, when the same thing scan be gotten for far less elsewhere. IMO, that is particularly true for vaping equipment and supplies at this point in time.

Most drug stores need to ship out the product to multiple locations driving up the per unit costs. That is part of the problem running brick and mortar locations. You couple that with the fact that PG and VG are not high demand products for them and it means their quantity bought is lower despite maybe 100's of locations.

Since MFS and ECF sell to vape users who use a large quantity of the product it makes it cheaper both from the quantity bought and the fact they don't have 100's of brick and mortar set ups to pay bills on.

If it is labeled USP it is likely USP. It is just cheaper because of logical reasons.
