A Saturday with a 3 day weekend and a New Year, for some.
I was just thinking back to the dramaz surrounding the "possible breakdown" of society when we rolled over from 1999 to 2000. It was one of the first times I realized that the media just recycles "scandal" "dire, death
threat" and "apocalyptic nuisances to pay your way out of," and "politics" with a bit of "celebrity" and "pure nonsense." LOL. That was a nice awakening when I decided fear of the future was no longer necessary.
I mean, what's gonna happen... I'mma gonna die? Okay, I accepted that one around age 4/5 when I first became conscious of it AND the fact that it could happen at any
second.
I would also comfort myself by considering plague times and how everyone thought the end of the world was coming. Nothing's changed, I guess.
