Happy Saturday Everyone!!!!
The leaded window opened
to move the dancing candle flame
And the first Moths of summer
suicidal came.
And a new breeze chattered
in its May-bud tenderness ---
Sending water-lillies sailing
as she turned to get undressed.
And the long night awakened
and we soared on powdered wings ---
Circling our tomorrows
in the wary month of Spring.
Chasing shadows slipping
in a magic lantern slide ---
Creatures of the candle
on a night-light-ride.
Dipping and weaving --- flutter
through the golden needle's eye
in our haystack madness. Butterfly-stroking
on a Spring-tide high.
Life's too long (as the Lemming said)
as the candle burned and the Moths were wed.
And we'll all burn together as the wick grows higher ---
before the candle's dead.

of the light that never dies
in a moment's reflection
of two moths spinning in her eyes.
Indeed it is! Had a nice time with the kiddo last night and am FINALLY adjusting to a somewhat later sleep schedule.
Having a mommy moment, but I love my kiddo SO MUCH! I decided to only be in mom mode for a bit and gave him suggestions for activities, but after that just decided to enter "pal" mode and do what HE wanted that evening.... He had a great time cooking me (an awesome) steak, and playing me rap music and talking about his girl troubles. There's this girl he's been chasing since HS who was pretty much an incurable alcoholic and he knew enough that that would not be good... He looked her up though she's doing better only then he found out she had a BF
I think this was kiddo's first "true love" and I told him to just keep loving people the way he does and his special someone will come along
He is super OCD on cleanliness (I blame time spent with his bio dad for that, actually) but I let him show me how to clean some stuff, admired his cleaning "stuff" and he gave a couple of my vapes a thorough cleaning. He's such a sweetheart, he certainly came along at the right time to more or less save my life when I was younger, but man, it's fun to watch him turn into a competent, thoughtful adult. And he's a pretty peaceful and thoughtful young man.... LOL, he was a "family" project so I can't take all the credit (and he was just born adorable, and an autodidact) but it was really fun.... Reminded me of chasing him around as a toddler and fulfilling all his requests, only he's a grownup.
It was one of the nicest times I've had in a while, more bittersweet because I know he plans to leave AZ soon....
