Imagine Dragons is my new "favorite" pop band. LOL. I have to HAVE one, and they're it.
Honestly though the guy can probably sing, although I wish their producer would stop speeding up the tracks to the point that it's literally clear, (good ear for pitch or not) that NO one can sing that fast, it's just well, maybe he can inhale and exhale at the same time? Perhaps? But you hear the audible GASPS, so I think not.
But mainly, excellent lyrics especially for millennials. Hey, I'm not bashing millennials but they are millennial lyrics but they're also GOOD lyrics. Apart from that one song about some Spanish chick of some type (I think, it's a terrible song) they have yet to disappoint more than 25% and that's a LOW percentage for the pop genre. LOL.
I will forgive a band a lot if they're just generally LIKABLE and FUNCTIONAL. And not 100% of the songs are about romance.
Yes Taylor Swift, I am talking to you and your "delicate" song. If you are banging some dude for a while and then FALL for him (seems to be a trend) it's only DELICATE if you are doing it in the WRONG ORDER.
Ahem, pardon please I think I have heat stroke (was not expecting the A/c heat conversion to take 11 hours. Why I did NOT anticipate that, I have NO IDEA. But I didn't.
