Power company still.haven't replaced/secured the pole..so,it still moves 10 oclock-2 oclock. .cable guys didn't put enough slack or coil between pole and house. .so evertime the wind blows line stretches taut. Finally gave out..

Sorry, guess you need a proven back up plan, like a generator & some sort of web back up system, or something.

Update.
Cable guys were doing call across the street. . (My appt 3p-5p)
So he came over quick to check line out..cable End to splitter / ground (from pole)was HOT AND MELTING!
I disconnected cable from splitter to house. After 10 min. It didn't cool down called Fire Chief and volunteer FD got here in 10min..THEY disconnected cable from "grounded?" Splitter..and it popped when he did..
all is okayyyyy .waiting for cable co.to get here..
They need to drive a ground rod in,not just clip it to a dead pipe..
Does that sound right,I'm no electrician?

Update. Got 20-17 volts running thru the metal frame and internet /tv cables of modular home. Who knew. .what the h ll can that be. Now gotta find good electrician
