drink plenty of water that will help u cough and have them give you some Musinex will help you cough up the crap. also see if u r able to sit in a chair for a bit. also see if you can get some "swish and swallow works good on a sore throat too and if they give ya one of thes lung things they give ya after surgey has a long blue tube wit a mouth piece use it. it helps too!
