One amazing little unit, produces vapor like crazy along with a neat looking PCC, I've had mine for a bit and couldn't be happier. The biggest surprise for me was when I let my mom try it, she's old school and didn't believe in this stuff she had tried the ego, I also have a lava tube, both were too strong for her, but this, she loved it, enough to actually buy one. Again this is my experience, has anyone else bought one your thoughts?

I appreciate this post very much! I have been flopping between the bloog and the Redds since I received the email about them.

It was actually the email from happyvaper about the Redds that got me thinking of giving vaping another try again. Then I started reading about the bloogs and got confused.

This hasn't helped me decide but it did make my decision between the two even again :p

I am sure I have been driving Kath absolutely bonkers with the amount of questions :)

How long do the batteries last ( roughly of course I know it has to do with vaping amount ).

NUH UH!!! that's my job with the emails i sent in the past and the comments on the bloog's (very nice in fact), Kath being a huge ego fan said she loved the bloog's as well....i am wondering what she would say about the redd's? I am curious about what the carts are like....and yes the life of battery? i know my 78mm's get me about 2hrs use, so really need the PPC for both of them :|

I have the bloog's from happy vaper, are these any better? i will have to check them out :D

I dont know from experience ( obv re: my post above ) but I heard the redds carts hit a little harder.

Also I read your blog entry, I gave this ago a few years ago with a joy 510 and it did me good but my frustration and lack understanding when I got into it ended me back on the analogs.... Yet I am here again looking to find the right setup to make it work :)

I am glad to hear you have not given up hope!

the more important thing shades is your back to give this a try again...that is where the true accomplishment lies.

Now if you still want the 808's (i have those and a few genuine ego's) then maybe have you tried the Volt's i seen on the HV site? they say they are "disposable". Or get the bloog pass through? If you do it that way be warned, it does NOT work on any wall adapter (i have too many different types) it is computer only....though i was thinking of trying one of those emergency cell phone batteries =))

Honestly if you want a quick fix (bare in mind this is a VERY quick, and something i had tried as i waited to decide), if you can find the smoking NV batteries for sale there? buy one and then get some carts (volt's worked best), swing over to flavor crafters (yes that was a shameless plug for them BOL) and get some nic juice (your preferred strength)
and see if that does not fire up the vaping mojo :D
(but this is just my thoughts on it)

Well, here's the thing, I would say the batteries last anywhere between an hour and an hour and a half, maybe more depending on how much you vape, that's what it lasts for me but I really haul on it pretty hard. Now, the battery thing isn't really an issue since the PCC will charge 5 batteries when fully charged and the batteries will take about as much to recharge as the other takes to die, so you kill one and flip, kill that one and flip and so on and so on, so it's hard to be left without battery. As for vapour, it's pretty good, very satisfying with a good amount of throat hit, something you dont' generally expect from a small unit like that. As I stated on my original post, I've had an EGO, I have a lava tube and while you can't compare the two, to me, the Redds are convenient and discreet, specially when I go to work. I've had more luck convincing people to give up smoking with the Redds than I did with the Ego & obviously the Lava Tube is a hard sell because of it's size my friends would be like "I don't want to carry a black dildo around" lol... The fact that I was to switch my mom who absolutely hated vaping from smoking to vaping is a huge achievement for me and a reason why I'm psyched.

That is good to know. Something I can recommend. Although I am currently content with my ego/510 set ups I know exactly what you are saying. Personally I think the ego is a bit large and like to have my stylish little green 510 for out in public. I don't want a lavatube or anything too huge or too strange or too different from what I smoked. So e-cigs like the Redds and the volt or bloog have a place for some of us.

Kind of curious whether the Redds are better than the Volt, Bloog, Smoov, etc. For the most part I've found that most of the 808s are more or less the same these days. Not something I'd be interested in buying mind you unless there's a really big difference in how they perform and hold up. They're pretty damn pricey for an 808 kit.

Well, I've tried the Bloog and while the Bloog is not bad, I believe this is way better. One of my friends owns a Bloog and I gave her a drag from this and the first words out of her mouth were, how much? The rest is history. Some advantages to the bloog are variety of batteries sizes and colours, same thing with cartos, variety of colours, something the Redds don't have, they're one size, one colour, end of story. Performance wise though, I firmly believe the Redds are better IMHO, hopefully others that have tried both the Bloog and the Redds can chime in.

True, but are still cheaper then a ego or EVO or other big battery starter kit that is out there, well from what i noticed anyway

First i have to say i love the kitty picture, that is awesome! Second i have to agree on stealth...even if some of us have purple ones and go to the international airport a lot :D best for stealth

I only tried the bloog's, but what is starting to get to me is when i am in the house i get most excellent vapor production, TH is ok if i take 2 primer's....but when i go outside? the TH and vapor is lost :( I am getting very interested in the Redds though by reading your post, so thanks for sharing it

Ok I think you helped me make up my mind and probably saved Kath hers, I wont have questions for her anymore ( for now anyways lol ).

The one thing that really looks to be a plus on the Redds is that even though they are automatic, the hole is on the side, so would look to be more forgiving if you get a little liquid going the wrong way. Considering I used to get mouthfuls (exaggeration) of liquid with my 510 ( teabag mod ) probably something I will need :D

Really appreciate the comments, and I might even do a mini video review from a pretty much noobie perspective re entering the vape world.

Well, if I were you I'd keep an eye on the thread, so far I'm the only that has posted who has tried the Ego, the Bloog, and the lava tube, hopefully other people can comment as well, this way you don't just take it from me. Since it's a fairly new product I'm not sure how many people have it already but I'd wait for at least 2 or three different opinions before making a decision. I think everyone so far has given their pros and cons. One thing I can tell you is that the vapour production doesn't decrease inside or out though, when I'm outside it seems to perform as well as inside although the flavour does change a little for example if I'm vaping in the car, not sure why.

The premium starter kit is $99, which I think makes it the most expensive 808 in existence (and more than any comparable eGo starter kit, and still much more than the premium EVO starter kit too) so it had better deliver some serious goods for that kind of money. :)

Yes, they definitely do hit harder.
