I've tried the reds many times now and I'm a Volt/Bloog vaper most of the day. Brother at the vape meet passed me some Boba's Bounty in a Redds and I was blown away! ..that this All VG juice wicked and perform very well, something that won't work for me in a Bloog or Volt. And strange, I found the Boba's to taste better then any other set up I've vape it on. I'm very impressed with Redds performance, tho a PCC and the Bat size are not for me. I'd rather carry 2 104mm Bloogs out with me then a personal charge case. I will wait for Redds to come out with a 480mAh

Yes.....time will tell if I'm still in love with this set up or not :). So far it's keeping up with me. Moderate vaping...to me...means using it often but not constantly. I vape more at home, but I have other set ups there if need be.

Deblym,

I found it took 1.5 - 2 hours from a completely dead battery to charge fully. I had one battery that didn't last as long as the other and I am a heavy vaper so the two batteries couldn't keep up, and tbh even if both were working the same on the longer side it still would have had a problem.

This is just my experience and I vape like crazy when I am at home, basically don't stop, puff puff wait a bit puff puff lol

I think you will probably be ok if moderate is what I think it means :) The case is great imo, 4 carts and 2 batteries is quit handy.

After a week or so ( once you have put some millage on the batteries ) post back and let us know if it is still working out for you.

FWIW, all the cartos I measures out were exactly 2.0 ohms

Did you know they sell a PCC for the 102s now? It charges 2 bats at the same time and holds 6 cartos on top of that. It's a bit bigger then the mini, and works great.
Does Redds really taste better then bloogs? I found that horizontal coil cartos have to be full all the time or I get a burnt/chemical taste (they weren't redd cartos, got them from Red Dragon) one thing I love about Bloog is the clean tasting vapes.

Well I'm on Day 7 of using this kit exclusively. When I first received it, one of the batteries was defecive. HV offered to replace the battery, but i ended up just buying a 4 batttery "Power pack" and getting credit on account for the defective one. All 4 of the new batteries work without issue. Here are my general impressions.

Pros:
  • Extremely lightweight batteries, with decent lifespan for relative size.
  • Vapor production is stellar. I'd say better than Bloog/Volt, but I believe these are slightly lower resistance cartos.
  • Everything you need for a day in one compact PCC. If you don't want to carry around juice, you can fill 3 extra cartos to take on the road.
  • Classy looking and discreet for vaping at work.
  • PCC Design allows you to carry everything in one place, including a fully assembled unit.
  • Quality construction and packaging. It feels solid, and the soft-touch coating on the PCC is a nice addition

Cons:
  • PCC Battery could be slightly larger, I'm getting 4 consecutive full charges out of one recharge (not the 5 advertised). Upping that to 6-8 would make this perfect, but may increase size too much.
  • Charge indicator on the PCC is misleading. There are 5 bars. The first charge uses 1 bar, 2nd uses 1 bar, 3rd uses 2 bars, 4th uses last bar.
  • Hinge design on PCC makes it so it doesn't rest flat, an inset hinge would be a nice addition/change.
  • Price tag is a little high for an 808 PCC Kit at $99CAD.

A couple notes on design. The batteries use a semi-sealed auto battery. There is no hole in the top like other 808 Auto batteries which leads me to believe that there is less chance of kiling your bat if you get an accidental drop of liquid come out of the bottom of the carto. The hole for battery activation is hidden giving a little more protection. I still wouldn't recommend direct dripping on one of these batts, but it could prevent some accidental shorts that can happen on other brands.

Cartos are your standard 808 horizontal bottom coil with soft caps. Build quality looks a little higher than what I've seen from other vendors. When opening the two packages of cartos, not a single one needed filler adjustment or centering of the tube in the middle. They perform extremely well with most juices. As with other 808's my "Carto killer" juices still had issues in these new cartos and I had to clean out that juice before I could use them again.

These cartos perform almost as well on my bloog batteries, but I do get a warmer, stronger vape from the Redds batteries.

Overall impression. Highly recommended for anyone new to vaping, or looking for something simple to get them off the death sticks. Hardcore vapers may not get as much enjoyment out of them as they are still an 808, so no modding, or variable voltage stuff to play with.

I tried Halo's Tribeca on a Reds Carto. AMAZING!! This was the first time I've vaped Tribeca on a 808 and actually tasted the full flavour of the liquid. Till now, my Tribeca was reserved for 510's & LR's or a VV box mod. For a 808, Vapour production, throat hit and flavour was through the roof!! The 18mg was hitting closer to a 24mg. I was surprised when I actually over Nic'd on 18mg, partly because the Tribeca was so good on these cartos.

The only problems I had where..
- The Cartos where Fussy on Bloog, Volt and G6 batteries to make a electrical connection, Lightly screwed on seem to make them work but more would have them cut out.
- The Flavour diminished from a carto quicker, half the time of a Volt/Bloog/G6 Carto.
- The Vapour was Hot! I found it a little steamy on the pallet when not using a extended tip.

I will be picking up more Reds Cartos just for Halo Tribeca vaping on my 808 Auto Bats :) Love Love Love em for that!!

They didn't drop the price but changed the kits to include only 5 cartomizers at that price. To get the 20 cartos that were originally included, it still works out to $99.

Hah, tricky .. I didn't know the kit had changed. It's down to $77.49 with 5 cartomizers; Canadian E-cigarette Redds

I bought this kit to start. It works well, but once I tried the eGo kit (just with carts) I haven't really picked up the Redds since: the eGos are so much easier to keep filled and the vape is way easier to pull plus more flavour = better vaping experience for me.

I would still recommend the kit, tho, because it's tiny and pretty nice feel in your hand. I'm using it as back-up and I have lots of people who are happy to vape on it when we go out.
