The premium starter kit is $99, which I think makes it the most expensive 808 in existence (and more than any comparable eGo starter kit, and still much more than the premium EVO starter kit too) so it had better deliver some serious goods for that kind of money. :)

I just noticed the price  but maybe in a short time they will drop in price?

Yes, they definitely do hit harder.

Do you use them with a drip tip on them? i kind of took all the end caps off mine for the same of putting the drip tip on, though i am thinking i might get close to the same results as the redds (i said close, no way do i think it will be the same) results if i use it with it's own rubber ends

Damn now I want to try the redds....lol and I just bought a bunch of bloog stuff.....LOL! I'm going to resist though.....for now. But really.......resistance is likely futile.

Looking forward to hearing more opinions on these :)

I am right there with you! I am now wanting to give my ego's and bloog's a new home just to try the redds :| dang it!

I lied... I am not waiting lol... I ordered it :D All I really needed to know was if the Redds and PCC would keep me going, the better half is going to get back into vaping as well if this turns out so if its a go I might get the bloog as the second kit :)

I will happily tell you what I think from a long ago 510 user to a back in it again POV might even do a short video as there isn't any out there for it yet.

I'm looking forward to seeing your comments, hopefully you'll be as psyched about it as I am. I think you'll be surprised when you see the throat hit and the amount of vapor they produce, it's a really pleasant surprise.

The hard part will be doing a video and not jumping right into it and trying it out as soon as I possibly can :D I am psyched about what the "better half" thinks, as she wanted more throat hit and vapor from the 510 when we tried it the first time.

So you will be getting two peoples opinion when I chime in. Hopefully when I stuck my head into a jugg and ordered a pile of sample juices, I will find a juice that will match up with the Redds quite nicely.

HAHA I feel like a kid at Christams right now

No, I don't use them with a drip tip
Although you can, I use the rubber caps, but I'll have to try a drip tip to see if it's any better. Thanks I hadn't thought about that.

Actually i was thinking the same about you, which is i hadn't thought of using them with their own rubber tip...it might be better LOL

Well, I've used them with DK Tab and it's fine, flavour comes through nicely, I find that Tribeca works a little bit better because the flavour is a little stronger. I currently have a bottle of Fuzzy Peach from Maple Leaf Vapes and that works really well, the peach flavour is subtle but it's definitely there, the flavour is a lot more noticeable on my Lava Tube for example but it's still fine. One thing I've read and have been told is that anytime you're using cartomizers to try to stick to thinner juices rather than thicker ones. Tribeca is perfect, it's very thin, same goes for DK Tab. I thought the fuzzy peach would be thick but it's not, it's thin and works fine. I've tried basic 510 units if that's what you're referring to about your better half and I would have to say that this to me is more satisfying. Again though, I'm really excited to hear your review of them. Which method do you use to fill your cartomizers? I usually use the condom method, find it works really well. Keep us posted.

akx996,

I have never used a cartomizer.... the 510 I had, the atomizer and cart were separate. Looking at the videos I have seen the condom method looks to be the easy way to do it so I am glad to hear that is the method you used. My juice will be coming from jugheads I ordered about 10 different samples 3-5ml to see how they are and what I end up liking.

I have never had a "drip tip" so maybe I should be ordering some of those as well?

It is my opinion that a drip tip is the most comfortable and most flavourful way to vape. If nothing else, my issue with the little rubber stopper in the end of cartomizers has a tendency to collect juice on the underside. This accumulates and ends up blocking the hole eventually until your next drag sucks a drop out and into your mouth, which is not pleasant (for most, anyway). Drip tips eliminate that problem.

I VERY much appreciate that info Mindfield... one of my "arrrgghhh" (many) moments with the 510 and mods I tried was getting that mouthful of liquid. I really should have been more active in the forums the first time.. I might not have stopped vaping :) Cheers

I probably should have phrased that better to say "virtually eliminates that problem," because condensation will still accumulate on the inner walls of the drip tip, and you might get a little bit here and there, but the amount and frequency is drastically reduced to the point where you don't really think much about it, and it really mostly only happens sometimes if you tip it upside-down after vaping for a while. There will certianly be very few "arrrgghh!" moments at any rate. :)

Well, I tried it with a drip tip today and it was ok although it obviously adds size to the unit, not sure if I'll use it like this permanently I've gotten used to using them with the rubber caps. Going back to another post, you should get more vapour by using a drip tip than the cap, it's physics, one hole (the one in the drip tip) is bigger than the other and allows for more vapour to flow more quickly, the hole in the cap is smaller but I don't see a problem yet. I wouldn't order the drip tip just yet, I would wait until you try the unit and then if you feel the need, order a drip tip. I didn't go fancy, I think the first drip tip I ordered from HV was like 5 bucks and I don't see a difference between that one and a more expensive one, again, I would wait.

Thank you all for your input and quick responses :)

Thinking about it, I think I will wait on the drip tip, all I need is to get the new toy and try the drip tip and kill the battery lol.

Better to see how I manage with the "AS IS" as the mucking around with the 510 never gave me the results I expected... baby steps.. baby steps...

@hitmetwice

I did notice that jugheads has driptips and I only ordered 10 samples from them ( 3-5ml ) so I can find something I will like to vape daily.

So when I get a chance to try them I will order a tip when I get some regular sized bottles.

I appreciate the input though and if I wasn't thinking of going this route then I would have taken your advice :)

PS.

I hope you got out on your bike with those nice days we had:D I manged to put in about 600 clicks was awesome to get out to early!

From my stand point. I find the Redds to hit better than the Bloogs.

I would never replace my mod (P+18650 w/ Kick) for the Redds. But i find it would do the job for those nights out drinking where you don't want to carry a big "look at me" mod in public.

I really cant find another kit with the same form factor that suit my needs.
I've owned the 510 w/ PCC and wasnt happy with throat hit. I then moved up to an eGo w/ LR attys, and settled there for a whileb ut wanted more. Now i vape on my two Precises.
After trying out the bloog kit for a few days, it still just felt like i was using my eGo. but because the PCC couldnt carry any cartos, i still found myself carrying a bag of parts.

After trying out the Redds, i was pleasantly surprised by the amount of throat hit that i got. I actually smiled... and as a plus over the bloog, aside from the slightly better but still very noticeable throat hit difference, the PCC actually carries cartos. That and and you get twice as many cartos in the kit.

But alas, i am in the same boat as some of you, i have to liquidate my stock of PV's before i can justify the purchase of a new Redds kit.

As i stand now, i think that this kit is good for both new users and more veteran users that want a stealthy vape without craving their big battery mod, during a night out.

These are just my :2c: as always your preference may be different.
