Thank you for this one. I am sitting here with tears running down my face just watching. I lost my Samoyed 7 May of last year. He looked and acted like this one. He was the gentlest and sweetest dog I have ever owned. He was my sunshine on a cloudy day. No matter what the problem, I could look at him and he had that silly grin that always made me smile. I went through 2 leg surgeries with him to get him walking but more important to get him pain free. Each operation was 8 weeks of me sleeping on the basement floor with him because he wasn't allowed to do steps and then a year rehab after each one. I lived down there with him until he was allowed to do stairs again. I can say that he was the dumbest dog I have ever owned but also that he probably taught me more than the others combined. I sleep well. I have been known to sleep through smoke alarms, telephones, breast feeding... pretty much you name it, I have slept through it but when I had Casper, I would always hear his change in breathing throughout the night. He also had seizures and I knew when he had this certain breathing pattern that he was going into one and I needed to be there for him. I haven't gotten another dog yet and not sure I will. I have always preferred animals to people. Their love is unconditional. I am fine now. Thanks for this and listening. Here is Casper's dogster page I created when I got him. Oh pri so good to see you and with such a beautiful post with all of the most wonderful things for everyone...the beauty, the care, the fun, the warmth, the LOVE! I know you will be alright before you know it and just full of energy but for now please rest, wishing you good sleep and good nourishment!
