The avi features Ursa Major, a.k.a. The Plough, The Big Dipper.

Yup, love this area. I was born just outside Detroit, lived inside and outside Detroit for my first couple of decades... moved out here and just want to move deep into the forest now :) I have spent a considerable amount of time in Ann Arbor (A^2) and the surrounding area, it's a completely different place based on when the most students are there compared to the 'off season'.

I have sadly NOT spent much time in Colorado (yet), but I have a lot of places on my list to visit there.

Vail bought our local Ski Resort... sure spent a fortune on renovations too. It's still just a little place, and I don't think it's meant as a tourist attraction... but at least it has a big name behind it now :)

I remember when I first learned to ski in Co a long time ago & then went back to Mi & had never skied there...Mt Holly seemed like an ant hill or something but went up north to Boyne Highlands & had a pretty good time skiing there, it almost seemed like the mountains! I was maybe an intermediate skier then and it seemed so easy and had fun. The people I skied with thought I was an expert, ha and I wasn't much above beginners standards in Co! Going to visit in Mi this coming summer and haven't been there for a few years or so! :) Yep I thought that was the Big Dipper! In Vail Co is a really nice ski area for sure...there's so many here though it's hard to say a favorite, it's a kind of a mood thing of where you'd like to go and ski I think and a lot of it comes down to how far you'd want to drive, so a smaller more local ski area seems much more appealing and especially now with costs skyrocketing, as when I first learned I had a season ski pass at Crested Butte Co for about $100 and would fear to think what that would be now! Maybe you didn't even want to know about all this ski stuff...SORRY! :D
