I'm headed out to the vape store... it would be nice if they had a good deal, mainly just need a battery or two.

We are divided into basically two sects around here... Those that say 'soda' and those that say 'pop'. I'm one of those 'soda' people.

The local vape shop advertised on their Facebook page "come and stop by, free hot dogs, soft drinks, live music"
There were three people there, one was the owner, one was the employee, and one was the owners boyfriend or husband.
I asked if they had any more Kayfuns, and they said they only had the display one at their other location, which was on my way home. They said that they didn't have the box for it.

I stopped on my way home and they didn't have the box or the extra o-rings for it, so I asked "can you give me a deal on it"
(I knew about not having a box - no big deal- but I like having the spare parts)
The employee called the owner and the owner sold it to me for $18.00 (I'm guessing that is her cost)
So feeling bad about "ripping them off" I purchased an efest purple 30 amp 18650 battery and paid too much for it. I figure it balances out, and I like to support this local vape shop.
Wanna see them stay in business, this is a very backwards (backwoods) community and I am surprised that they sell anything.
Although I am guessing that their sales are to others like me who moved north after Katrina, we lived in the New Orleans area and it's is a lot more "progressive" than where we live now.
A lot of the old timers here are upset that such a large amount of us "New Orleanians" moved here because we can now purchase alcohol here, it was voted in recently (I told you it was a backwoods area)

Too bad the event they were throwing didn't go so well... maybe it will later

My local tobacco shop, which is about 30% cigarette, 30% cigars, 25% vape and 15% 'other' threw an even a while back... and I guess it was a smash! They had advertised it for months with big full color double sided heavy stock flyers... had vendors come in... free juice, t-shirts and even contests. They were selling a bunch of their stuff at what I would consider 'cost'... and they even brought in a bunch of authentic mods/etc just for the event in case someone wanted those instead of the clones.

I do hope that shop near you tries again and again... until it's a success!

Yup,... dry counties still exist... until about 15 years ago, I thought that had ended nationwide, nope.

Good deal on the Kayfun krusty!
I have been meaning to get down to My local vape shop to buy a Kayfun, I want one i can get it cheaper if i shop around online, but also want to support a local shop. But they are good to Me any way, In the past have given Me batteries & juice to try. They do have a presence here on ECF I also won a VTR from them (ecf contest). So all in all it's a good thing, and they are very nice & friendly I have seen them treat newbies & experienced vapors in an excellent manner, they truly do look out of their customers no matter on their experience or needs

I love reading things like that, about a shop treating people well despite their experience level!

I have been pushing my local tobacco shop to carry more vape stuff, but they are a top-10 chain... so it's all decided by corporate based on sales... but they have been stocking more and more to the point that my joking about them needing more display cases has lost it's humor as they now have to move things out of the way manually as you look through the cases just to see everything otherwise you are left wondering what's in all the different color boxes behind/underneath the stuff on display.

any way... I know what you mean about being in a backwoods type area. I visited a city last week where the only place to buy any vape stuff was at a head shop, which had only just opened 3 weeks earlier. The town didn't even have a tobacco shop! But oddly... they had a huge tobacco sign up above a poorly described store-front... I asked about it and I was told it's the bar and no one knows why they have a banner up that says 'tobacco'... not even the owner. How does a banner magically appear?!

Ah... back from my local shop... almost bought a DNA30 box mod... but it's basically double the going rate online I'm really holding out for that Smok XPro BT50 anyway. Ended up leaving with just a couple 18650 batteries that I wanted to have today.

They did have a very interesting item listed as a Kayfun clone... it was in a tube versus a box, and the 510 was actually screwed in to the bottom portion of the tube. It didn't look like any kayfun I have seen before,... I think the manufacturer mis-named their clone or it's just inspired by the kayfun! I'm going to look around online... it was basically a kayfun design that was narrow enough to use on ego type batteries. Looked like quality manufacturing though, and I didn't feel/see/smell any oil on it from production... actually felt like it had been cleaned, threads were good too. Smallest KF type clone I have seen. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it looked like the tool/bit used to cut the juice channels was ran at the wrong speed and they could have finished that portion a little better... but I bet it works just fine and the channels were wide like OEM versus some of these thin channels I have seen in the clones.

Yeah, if you haven't noticed... I'm that guy that comes in and has them take out every new item so I can take it all apart and inspect it
